The New York Knicks recently offered the Minnesota Timberwolves a package of Amar'e Stoudemire, Tim Hardaway Jr. and Iman Shumpert for Kevin Love, according to a source.

The Timberwolves reportedly declined the offer.

Hardaway has good value around the NBA, but Shumpert could be in line for a raise once his rookie contract ends and Stoudemire has one season left on his big contract.

The Knicks could offer Love a maximum contract if he becomes a free agent next offseason.

That offer is laughable at best.

Love will be a Cav in 30 days. The rest is just posturing.

I hope Cleveland doesn't trade Wiggins for Love. Wiggins can provide defense right now alongside LeBron. Love and LeBron are both best at PF. What if Love signs in LA next summer? These types of trades are why LeBron left Cleveland before; they mortgaged the future for overrated veterans.

Ya but Lebron has came out and said that he wants Love in Cleveland and Love wants to play with Lebron. Lebron didn't go to Cleveland to play with rookies.

If love goes to the east then LA would be an all star starter and there would be an extra spot for a third blazer to be an all star next year.

A pussy who plays in LA and will get a million votes just for that reason alone regardless of the fact he is also a top PF. Hell Lin will probably make it in as a starter now that he is in LA.

So once again it's large market vs. small market?

Pretty much. Youv got to be a superstar or borderline superstar to get voted as a starter in a small market

If I'm Minny, I take the deal with Wiggins and never look back. They're like us; the only way they get a chance at an elite player is to draft one or trade for one. Swing for the fences. None of the Bulls' players have the upside of the players the Cavs are offering.

I agree. And if you think Portland will have a tough time attracting free agents, just visit Minny in the winter. Grabbing the players offered will at least guarantee them for 5 years.

Mo seems like a selfish guy. He's basically admitting that he'd rather have $500k than to play in the playoffs on a contending team and abandon his friends. Still a 1 year deal. Minnesota is going to be in the bottom 3 in the West.

Maybe, but I'm having some doubts that we even offered him a contract (no matter how much).

I think this is just the way sports is general. There are a lot of players that would choose money over being on a playoff team.

Players may not come out and say it but they know if there on a team with a real chance to win a championship. If not most people would choose the money.

500k though? Really? Over the course of his career that's such a small amount. Meanwhile his career is winding down and he's going to play for a shitty Minnesota team.
