    It is better. But they are just players. Not a media-hyped "big 3".

    They will take a year to gel, so I giggle when I read they are favorites. Silly ESPN.

    Better on offense, worse on defense. I don't think they're as good as the Heat "big three's" second year together. But the final two years, with zombie Wade, this group might be better.

    We'll see over the next 4 years. 8 straight Finals appearances by James would be the best achievement of any player in the modern NBA.

    Its hard to say definitively since Love/Irving are both so young and Wade/Bosh were both in their prime but I don't think either Love/Irving will be as good as Wade was in the first two years he played with Lebron. Also Wade/Bosh are much much better defenders then Love/Irving are and i'm not sure if either one will ever be more then subpar defensively.

    I could assemble a ragtag bunch of benchwarmers and one really good player and make the finals 8 years in a row in the pathetic east. Not really a great accomplishment.

    Offensively, the CAVS will be really good. I'm suspect on their defense.

    Also, Irving and Love are very injury prone. If they can stay healthy, they should be a #1 EC team.

    These things are nearly impossible to prove. About the only way is if the parties are stupid enough to put an illegal agreement in writing, the way Glen Taylor, the Timberwolves' owner, did with the wink-wink deal with Joe Smith.

    I guess since the Timberwolves are involved here, too, nothing's impossible, but I'd pretty surprised if the NBA finds anything over which to invalidate the deal.
