Is there a difference between donating money to a person's charity or donating it to their campaign?

Im going to guess that many of the conservatives claiming that this is bribery think that giant campaign donations via citizens united aren't for some reason.

    They both are bribery.

The donations to the Clinton Foundation happened while she was in office.

So are the vast majority of campaign donations, no?

Campaign donation can influence one vote on a committee or floor vote.

Foundation donation gets approval by the one person with sufficient authority, even overriding state department policy.

    Slight difference?

Slight maybe, although the money going to a charity is a slight difference as well.

Many people don't realize the amount of influence dark money has on local judge elections. There has been millions of dollars poured into electing bought and bribed pro corporate agenda judges on local levels.

This isnt just a presidential race problem, with judges being bribed it goes to the very core of our society.

Money went to Bill Clinton in the form of "speaking fees."

I'm not sure you can stop people from being bribed, I think the voters just have to not elect said people.

The problem is, when money buys exposure and influence, that is easier said then done.

The trouble with your case is it is all circumstantial. Foundation solicits money from foreign governments. US sells arms to foreign governments. Bill Clinton gives speeches for pay.

Those things could all be tied together, but they could be independent. All of them were already going on well before Hillary was secretary of state, for instance.

There was a murder last week in San Diego. You live in San Diego. Therefore you are the murderer. Or maybe the victim. Not sure which, but you are definitely involved, how could you not be?

Eh, it would be more like if Denny's wife received a sizable donation from some woman, and then Denny accidentally ran that person's husband over, killing him. It looks like an accident, but the sizable donation and the timing of the "accident" make it highly suspicious.

It would be more like there's blood all over Hilar, she's holding a bloody knife and a gun that's been fired multiple times. Both weapons have her fingerprints, but the corpse can't be found because Obama buried it. We know who's missing and when - and that Hiliar was there at that time.

While I don't trust That bitch as far as I can throw her (and he looks pretty heavy), we are going to have to do a lot better than circumstantial evidence to indict.

Lots of you have already tried her in the court of public opinion but lack strong evidence. You only have the "where there's smoke there's fire" evidence..

I think there's plenty of actual evidence that she's a dishonest person, and for me that's enough. I don't think she's trustworthy, and I really wish that America would wake up and stop electing people who are dishonest. I think she would do literally anything to get elected President.

The state department, DoJ, FBI and congress are all considering STRONG evidence. Why wast anyone's time and taxpayer dollars otherwise?
