A very impressive double double that included some nice blocks and drives to the hoop. Those chants were uncalled for... Poor sportmanship from the Miami fans.

<div class="quote_poster">authentiq Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">what'd they say?</div> The fans? They chanted "Kobe sucks" with like 20 seconds to go in the 4th. I find it more of a compliment. They wont down talk him in the beginning when he has atleast a chance to shut them up.
Why did the Lakers put Kobe on Wade instead of Smush Parker? Wouldn't it have made more sense to use Smush on Wade, and then let Kobe roam (rest) a bit on defense?
^ Because Wade would've gone off for 50+ if they put Smush on him. Even Gary Payton blew by Parker. I mean come on, you can't let Gary 'I'm 109 years old' Payton blow right by you.
^It's a funny question. Wade was hot tonight and was unstoppable. You can put the whole 5 Lakers' starters on him and he still flashes through them. A good win for the Miami Heats and a sorry azz Xmas present the Lakers giving us today . <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">"I told my coaches at halftime that I thought I would stay in the locker room and watch 'A Christmas Carol' and they could go out and do the rest of this game the way we were playing out there," Lakers coach Phil Jackson said. Uncalled for chant at the end of the game, but don't act like Laker fans wouldn't have done the same to Wade at Staples. Kobe didn't look sick at all to me, and before the game he said he was fine. If you're out there playing, there's no excuses.

Kobe gets hated on multiple occasions for stupid reasons; Wade is a golden child.
Are you dense? This has nothing to do with your perception that "everyone hates Kobe" and more to do with the fact that the home fans are booing the opposing team's best player. Don't act like Laker fans are saints, they do their share of chants such as these and probably would have given one to Wade had he shot 25% in Staples.

The Heat have Shaq on their roster and are partial to his side in the Kobe-Shaq argument. Kobe also gets booed on the road all the time, I'm sure more than almost any player. However, if Laker Fans had done this to Wade, it would have also been classless. But they didn't, heh. Kobe is one of the most polarizing individuals playing basketball, Wade is not.

I can't remember anytime the fans had a "you suck" chant going at Staples.

His wife and kids must have been at the game, that's pretty messed up if they were there.

When Dwyane Wade came to play in the Staples Center, nobody was chanting "you suck." Even going way back to our heated rivalries with the Sacrameto Kings, nobody was chanting "you suck" when they came into the building. Were there boos? Sure. But boos and "you suck" are completely different things. Especially when your "you suck" chants are targeted at a single player (Kobe Bryant). What did Kobe do to Miami anyways?
The Lakers were lousy in this game and I changed the channel after the refs whistled Kobe for a b.s. foul to bail out Wade on a jumpshot. Then we see Wade slap Turiaf across the arms and face, after Ronny posterized him, with no foul call. Wade is also immune to palming the basketball.

Lakers aren't going to do that towards Shaq because the guy is a Lakers legend. No such attachment with Kobe for Miami fans. I did think it was funny that they did the chant after the game was already decided. At least they're not stupid.
chanting another player sucks does not equate to having no class......it's not personal, fans are just taking shots at the other teams best player....the rowdies taunt other players all of the time.
Personally I could careless, but I'm just curious why they decided to chant it at the end of the game. Booing a guy on XMas when you're team has already blown the game wide open is weak. This is right up there with the fans in Philly who booed Kobe during the All-Star game.
