<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Char:</div><div class="quote_post">Stephon Marbury. The guy shouldv'e won a championship by now, with Minnesota or another team. Has arguably the biggest talent in the NBA, but has zero basketball IQ. I welcome anyone who disagrees, though..</div> Not really....
I should've said played or competed for a championship in the conference finals or the finals itself by now..
BTW I didn't start this thread to dis Gilbert. The reason I brought this up is because of Arenas close to being cut from Team USA. He's a superstar player but he can barely log minutes and he doesn't look comfortable or confident when he is on the floor. Then I just came to think about his struggles in pressure situations or when playing infront of a national audience with all eyez on him. He's thrived when no one was talking about him but when he starts getting props he doesn't play like we know he can.

But you neglect all the clutch shots he hit before that? Because he's struggling for Team USA and got cut because of a strained groin doesn't mean he's a mentally weak player. It mean's he is in a drought, having some off games. A span that every player goes through.

But that hasn't been confirmed, but I'm going by the issued report.
Someone better have mentioned Vince carter already. With all his athleticism and skills he's had little to show for it.
I'm not underrating him or attacking him so I wish people would understand that. But I won't feel bad or take your comments to heart just because you misunderstood me. And to further prove my point of him lacking the mental/confidence part it turns out he just strained his groin and won't be able to participate in the World Championship. Instead of just accepting the cut and accepting failure (in order to improve) he has to lie to himself and others about the inevitability. <font size=""4"">Arenas Strains Groin, Won't Play In World Championships</font> SI.com - During a Monday practice, Gilbert Arenas strained his groin and therefore won't play for the United States at the world championships. "We know Gilbert is really disappointed,'' team managing director Jerry Colangelo said. "He's done a great job. "It's an unfortunate situation, but he is not going to be able to continue on.'' [READ]
some people might not agree with me on the next one but this player although very good has always had a tendency to dissapear when it counts............Tony Parker.

Back then everyone would just play Parker physical and he would fade away.

I understand Arenas missed that big FT in the series, but he looked pretty clutch in the rest of those games (even in that game where he missed the freethrow...he hit that big 3 to put it into overtime) in the Cleveland/Washington series.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Bobcats:</div><div class="quote_post">I don't get this. How does missing a game due to injury make him high maintenance?</div> I said he misses it for every little thing, some things I wouldn't even consider injuries he'd miss games for. He missed a game before because of gas, back when he was on the Wizards I think, common, that's stupid, does his body have to be perfect before he plays in a game? What does he want someone massaging him while he's on the court playing? I like Knight, I just thought that was quite odd.
I'd say Kwame Brown, Dunleavy Jr., T-Mac, and Francis. During trade rumors Francis admitted he was doing worse because he was scared or something like that. Also on draft day with Vancouver.....Come on

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Heat4Life:</div><div class="quote_post"> He hit all the clutch FTs and shots he needed to in that series, including the last 2(4?) that put the Heat up by 3, a virtual lock to eliminate the Mavs in the NBA Finals, after being 6min and 13pts away from a 3-0 deficit. Not even Kobe Bryant will ever have a playoff performance like Wade did in that series (let alone Finals) so I don't know why you bring that up.</div> Wow you're psychic now too? Either way, Bryant averaged 35 PPG this season and 43 PPG against the Mavericks(minus one fourth quarter he rested, heh), you shouldn't have so much conviction about your ridiculous claims. Stick to the facts not speculation. God that is annoying.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Heat4Life:</div><div class="quote_post">Not even Kobe Bryant will ever have a playoff performance like Wade did in that series (let alone Finals) so I don't know why you bring that up.</div> <u>HEAT4LIFE</u> Ugh....the bias shown here is so sickening......Wade is in his like 4th year this coming season and won 1 championship. Meanwhile Kobe is coming in his 11th year with 3 championships. Another thing is looking at the bench and Shaq situation. You're giving Wade more credit than he is worth. Shaq and Zo played a big part in that Heat title(as well as Shaq in LA) so don't act like Wade is single handedly bringing Miami to the face of the map. Also I don't want to sound like a hater but the refs in that series was obviously pulling it for Miami, especially in Game 6.
