Martin's 3 lifts No. 10 Nevada over Boise State 72-71

Nevada's Cody Martin hadn't hit a 3-pointer in a month, but that didn't stop him from taking a huge shot when his team needed it.

Martin, last season's Mountain West defensive player of the year, hit a contested 3-pointer with 4.5 seconds remaining to lift No. 10 Nevada over Boise State 72-71 on Tuesday night.

No. 7 Nevada romps to 100-60 win over Colorado State

Nevada coach Eric Musselman threatened to turn off the 3-point green light after a lackluster shooting performance Saturday by the seventh-ranked Wolf Pack against Air Force.

Musselman sang a different tune following his team's 100-60 win Wednesday night over Colorado State.

Caleb Martin scores 26 as No. 8 Nevada beats UNLV 87-70

Nevada has dropped one game all season, and it didn't take that setback too well.

Since losing at New Mexico on Jan. 5, the eighth-ranked Wolf Pack have won six straight -- five by double digits -- after Caleb Martin had 26 points and six rebounds Tuesday night in an 87-70 victory over UNLV.

Martin brothers lead No. 8 Nevada over Boise State 93-73

In an effort to attack the basket more, Nevada guard Caleb Martin recently set a personal goal -- get a minimum of 30 touches in the paint each game.

Martin first tried it this week at UNLV and came up three short. On Saturday, he topped the mark with 32, and led all scorers with 30 points as the No. 8 Wolf Pack beat Boise State 93-73

3 thoughts as Colorado State basketball’s upset bid of No. 6 Nevada falls short

For a short stretch, the Moby Arena faithful could let their imagination wander.

Could it happen? Could the CSU men’s basketball team turn a first-half blowout deficit into a SportsCenter-level shock win over No. 6 Nevada?

No, ultimately, was the answer as the Wolf Pack won 98-82.

No. 6 Nevada avenges only loss, defeats New Mexico 91-62

Coach Eric Musselman posted the score of Nevada's 27-point loss to New Mexico on the homecourt scoreboard at the team's next practice.

Forward Trey Porter said Musselman's goal was simple.

"(So we knew) that we got smacked," Porter said. "That's one of the worst losses that I've had in my career."

On Saturday, Porter had 20 points and nine rebounds as No. 6 Nevada avenged its only loss of the season in a dominating 91-62 win over New Mexico.

No. 7 Nevada wins 10th straight behind Porter's 14 points

Nevada relived last season's double-overtime loss at Wyoming by watching video of fans storming the floor every day for the past week, and even just before taking the court Saturday night.

There were no fans storming the floor this time, as No. 7 Nevada easily beat Wyoming 82-49 for its 10th straight win.

Martin leads No. 6 Nevada to 74-68 win over Fresno State

After a loss in the last game, Nevada coach Eric Musselman told forward Tre'Shawn Thurman he would not start the next game. It's something he also did after the Wolf Pack's first loss of the season back in January, and they bounced back with wins both times.

Thurman had 14 points, a team-high 10 rebounds and four assists to help No. 6 Nevada narrowly avoid losing back-to-back games for the first time this season, beating Fresno State 74-68 Saturday night.
