No. 15 Utah State routs UTSA 82-50

Opponents are quickly discovering that generating offense against Utah State is a difficult task.

The No. 15 Aggies proved it again on their way to an 82-50 victory over UTSA on Monday night. It did not take long for the Roadrunners to get overwhelmed on one offensive possession after another.

Utah State (5-0) dominated the inside, outrebounding UTSA 55-36, and outscoring the Roadrunners 46-16 in the paint and 38-8 in second chance points. It meant fewer looks at the basket and tougher shots overall for UTSA.

Anderson, No. 15 Utah St. pull away late, beat UNT 68-59

Utah State might not have played its prettiest basketball of the season this weekend at the Jamaica Classic, but junior transfer Alphonso Anderson did, helping the 15th-ranked Aggies continue their best start in nearly 60 years.

Anderson scored 10 of his 19 points down the stretch, Justin Bean had a double-double and Utah State scored the final 11 points to beat North Texas 68-59 on Sunday night to win the Montego Bay division of the Jamaica Classic.

Bey leads No. 21 Colorado past Clemson, 71-67

McKinley Wright IV was honorable mention on the Pac 12's all-defensive teams during his first two years at Colorado.

The 6-foot point guard worked extensively during the offseason, and since the start of this season said he's keyed in on his defensive efforts with hopes of earning a first-team selection at the end of his junior campaign.

Wright made two key steals Tuesday night, teammate Tyler Bey had 18 points and 11 rebounds, and No. 21 Colorado overcame a 12-point deficit to defeat Clemson 71-67 in the championship game of the MGM Resorts Main Event.

Schwartz nails 3 at buzzer, Colorado beats Dayton in OT

D'Shawn Schwartz could not recall hitting a shot like this one, with his team trailing as the final seconds ticked away. And when the ball fell through the net as the buzzer sounded, it set off a celebration as wild as Colorado's overtime victory against No. 13 Dayton.

Schwartz nailed the winning 3-pointer as time expired, McKinley Wright IV scored a season-high 29 points against the team he initially planned to join and the Buffaloes stunned the Flyers 78-76 in overtime Saturday.

No. 15 San Diego State beats Cal Poly to improve to 13-0

San Diego State didn't look anything like the nation's 15th-ranked team for a long stretch of the first half against scrappy Cal Poly.

The Aztecs missed inside shots, had free throws clang off the rim and big man Yanni Wetzell and guard KJ Feagin air-balled 3-point shots.

And then the stunner: The Mustangs raced back from a 10-point deficit to take a 23-22 lead to hush the crowd at Viejas Arena.

That's when SDSU finally woke up. Wetzell started a 9-0 run that closed the first half and the Aztecs won 73-57 to continue their best start in nine seasons.

Wright takes over late, Colorado beats No. 4 Oregon 74-65

McKinley Wright IV received a little pep talk from none other than himself.

"I told myself I had to get going," he said of his second-half inner monologue.

    Wright listened to Wright.

The junior guard scored 11 of his 21 points in the final five minutes and Colorado beat another ranked team, taking down No. 4 Oregon 74-65 on Thursday night.

No. 7 San Diego State beats Wyoming 72-52 to stay undefeated

The seventh-ranked and undefeated San Diego State Aztecs were ready for whatever awaited them in Laramie.

They planned ahead to deal with the 7,220-foot elevation, which can quickly sap a player's strength. They had no intention of being upset by the Wyoming Cowboys, who have beaten ranked Aztecs teams before.

    Not this night.

Malachi Flynn scored 19 points, Yanni Wetzell added 17 and the the Aztecs beat Wyoming 72-52 on Wednesday night to remain one of the nation's two undefeated teams.

Feagin, No. 7 SDSU beat Boise State 83-65 to stay undefeated

With Viejas Arena rocking like it did during Kawhi Leonard's short stay at San Diego State, KJ Feagin and the No. 7 Aztecs knocked out Boise State in the opening minutes.

Feagin made three 3-pointers in the first seven minutes and Malachi Flynn added two, helping the Aztecs race to a 14-point lead. They never let up, beating the Broncos 83-65 on Saturday night to remain undefeated and continue chasing school history.

Flynn, Wetzell lead No. 7 San Diego State past Fresno State

San Diego State won't make any scoring highlight reels with games like its one against Fresno State, yet the Aztecs might make it deep into the NCAA Tournament.

In a contest in which they had no 3-point game, the No. 7 Aztecs relied on a suffocating defense to shut down Fresno State 64-55 on Tuesday night.
