smh Soccer moms unite. No place for criticism at all on this forum I see. Newbies taking over. Can't even point out legit stats that show Dame's shot was a bad one.

This place has gotten really shitty.

Did you not think some people would disagree with you when you created this thread?

    Really?

Disagreement is perfectly fine. Didn't expect the backlash for saying a step back 28' jumper when you're shooting such an awful percentage was a bad one. Figured the response to that would be obvious.

Honestly, look at how teams defend Lillard at the end of close games.

Do you remember the Detroit Pistons Jordan Rules? NBA teams focus on Lillard 1st, 2nd and 3rd when it comes to making a game plan to beat the Blazers.

Doesn't that suggest that there is probably a better option available at the end of a game than a contested jumpshot, seeing as how Lillard will be the primary focus of the defense?

I agreed with the original post but because i don't have enough total count messages i guess that doesn't matter. It was a bad shot. I hope he gets a better look next time.

    Watch "the shot."

There is only one player calling for the ball on that play.

Some players shy away from big moments, some players embrace them. Lillard is the best player on the team. Period. CJ is developing that killing instinct but we've all seen him fumble the ball away during high pressure situations. With the way this team is currently constructed I'm not seeing any other options.

You can say anything you want... Its how you say it dude... just like you have the right to think/say anything you want. But when you talk, you must allow others to refute, rebuttal, or speak in a manner the same way you are.

I criticized Dames shot like everyone else, but I didn't bash him. To point out a bad shot is one thing.. to bitch about shit is another...
If your allowed tgo bash the team, then why arent I allowed to bash you???

What has gotten really shitty is all the blatant negativity

    I also find this hilarious....

you don't want to quibble over the definition when the whole conversation is about this. What IS Lillard time? Is it his clutch shooting or his 4th quarter play? Big difference with big answers. Your first post leads most to believe you are referring to clutch situations... not Lillard time, which most know to be his 4th quarter output as a whole.

How are we not supposed to discuss this while discussing your thread?
    This is what is shitty...

And for the record.. most of my posts in the last couple of days have not been directed or meant for you, trhough it seems you might bee feeling them more than you should. You created the thread, but werent the only one making comments.

I think most here know most of my irritation is from Members like Tunchi and Tlong who love to bounce from thread to thread posting negative comments without any real engagement in the conversation at hand. SO Ive simply been playing the devils advocate the last couple days. Didnt mean to single you out if it felt like I was.
I will withdraw my stance, but yeah.. my posts are simply a rebuttal of others.

I actually like most of your posts most of the time.

No one. Just voicing the vibe around here by some...and going full on mags with it.

First.. I never said the NBA. I said competitive ball. And it has alot to do with it. You see things from a different side.. You understand the reason somethings happen the way they do when you are actually involved vs watching from the sidelines.
Ive played organized sports and understand the shot/play will go to the best player on the team and that player may not always make the right decision. Does that mean you don't want him to make the call next time? no. You still want it done by the best on the team. These are things you might understand a bit more if you had ever played organized sports...

The shot selection was awful, I was thinking in the entire time he was dribbling, yelling at him to drive and get fouled, or dish to CJ. Your stats even support what I wanted him to do (drive and get to the hole, where he is shooting 60% from 2-PT land in the same situations). His shot selection at times does drive me nuts.

It was your subject line that people took exception to, and the idea that "Lillard Time", pretty much a fan made up thing about him going off for spurts at a time was a myth, that I think drew most of the backlash in this thread.
