Its a different situation tho... tie game with 13 secs you have time to work for a shot .9 seconds you dont... Ill say it again its not his mental make up or his ability it's the shot selection and that he has shown himself to be very predictable in late game situations. He tries to hit homeruns every single time it makes it very easy for opposing teams to gameplan against and take away.

Lillard should be above Lowry imo.

also, how many times have we seen dame drill back to back to back threes? Or even back to back threes? Quite a lot. Not a lot of players can do that. Especially 6'2 guards off the dribble. That's Lillard time to me. He's proven he's not afraid of crunch time. Yeah, he took a terrible shot a few days ago, I have seen him take that same shot to win a game another time, we all agree it could of been better shot selection. Oh well though. This dude has really progressed as a player and leader. He knows when to attack the rim now, he's a better passer, he's been playing out of his mind the second half of the season. He averages 26 and 7. imagine if dame had a dj or griffin, he would easily average 10 assists probably with 22 points a game or something. I'm gonna stick with defending dame. I don't think I could turn my back on the guy and start trashing him just for a shot selection. Not that anybody did but when was the last time a guy was vocal about wanting to actually stay here and you felt like he meant it?

Not only that but look at all the community work he does, the stuff with special Olympics, how marketable he is. Dudes a role model for kids in Portland, I don't think I have ever heard one childish thing out of him or some crazy career mistake he's made off the court. He lives in Portland all year. With his family and cj. Gotta be proud of this back court and the loyalty. Signed a 5 year extension with one year left on his other contract not knowing how the team would be because we lost 4 starters. He faced it head on and it's crazy to say we will probably make the playoffs. This team is quite the story

So I take it you didn't watch the 4th quarter of the Pelicans game then. When Lillard hit CJ wide open for three?

This thread was created to bash Lillard when it was an obvious coaching decision to put Lillard in that 1-4 iso situation, out of that timeout in the Mavs game.
Lillard's fault was taking a fadeaway 3 at the buzzer. But not the situation of being put in a 1-4 iso situation and asked to create/take a shot at the buzzer.
Yes he could have got a better shot, but he did exactly what coaching asked him to do. aka play hero ball.

Did you even read the first post when I called for Terry to not give Dame that much leeway? Jeez. I created this to point out how shitty Dame's percentages were. Not bashing Lillard or anything. Wouldn't be on this forum and have 20k posts if I didn't like Dame, et al. smh.

Holy shit. The soccer moms man.

Il post this here too because its the same topic of discussion really.

I fail to understand how you can post such negativity but get all bent out of shape when the negativity gets turned back onto you?

I am not the only one who feels this way.

"Yayuza, his point is not that its irrational or whether you are correct or not. His point is amidst all the positives going on, why focus on the few negatives right now?

This was kinda my point too. Your bringing the forum down by only picking out the negatives... Try to be more positive or find more positive topics to discuss within the negative and you will get better responses.

I'm not trying to argue, or even continue the conflict. Just trying to help YOU understand how some others feel about the constant negativity, just as you and some others made a point to let me know how annoying I can be.

I'm not the only one who feels this way, as has been pointed out by likes and others' comments. You are also not the only one who feels the same way about me (though I was this way purposefully).

You say this place has gotten shitty because you feel you cant post your opinion. You certainly can, but what makes this place shitty is not being able to respond to your post in kind without you thinking this place has gotten shitty.

I hope you see that, and with that said, I don't think I can express it any clearer for a better understanding, so I will eave it at that and move on. :)
I seriously meant no ill will or personal issues with you, or anyone else... Just trying to prove a point about how annoying all the negative comments can be amidst such a successful season.. Again.. I hope your level headed enough to see that."

    Okay ladies and gentlemen!!!!

Dame is going to be our hero. He is going to go lights out tonight. He is NOT going to take the game winning shot, because there wont be one... we will have a double digit lead by end of game.

I do feel like Dame is eating himself up on that shot more than he lets on, and I expect him to come out and just kill it so that we can all be one big happy family for a day or two. :)

Anyone else confused about the "Soccer Moms" thing? Is anyone here a soccer mom? Is it supposed to be some kind of an insult?
