So why does nothing ever come of this? There was outrage after the Sac/Lakers WCF. Everyone knows there's something shady going on with the NBA. Why does nothing ever happen?

They are advertising the NBA as though it's real, when it's in fact staged. Shouldn't congress get involved in something like this?

Because the fans don't actually do anything about it, ie boycott a playoff series/game.

Loved his comments about the NBA

It was hard to take as a Grizz fan, because there was clear contact. As a fan of the game of basketball though, I think that's a good no-call. The Grizz fumbled that last possession, and Conley just dove into the paint in desperation. In the NBA, that's usually a call, and maybe the refs swallowed the whistle because it was in LA, but I wish that those whistles would be swallowed in more game situations, around the country. The NBA calls too many fouls on the defensive player when the guards just lower their heads and drive blindly to the basket. Those are not true scoring situations, so the incidental contact should not really be called.

With that said, there were some ridiculous blown calls outside of that one, and it mostly went one-way. Usually, if there's bad officiating, it's on both sides, but the Lakers were getting a lot of generous calls, whereas Tayshaun Prince got gangbanged in the post twice in the fourth, without a call.

With all being said and done, I won't buy into conspiracy theories for the Lakers, but the reffing was definitely sketchy, and I'll just quote draft prospect DJ Stephens' twitter on both the no call at the buzzer and the no call on Conley's jumper prior to that: "I'm not surprised... Steve Blake gave Mike Conley a high five on the jump shot. No foul..."
