The NBA is not fixed or scripted but refs do manipulate the game. There is obviously lots of betting that goes on. These guys get paid millions of dollars so don't tell me that players/coaches/color commentators/refs don't place bets. I'm sure the plate/ coach relationship with refs also exist.
That was extremely evident in this years first round of the playoffs. So many great series, so many great games, and the Lakers, Celtics and Knicks nowhere to be found.
If you have a belief that it's fixed you will see what you want to see. NBA refs are just horrible. Plain and simple.
LeBron picked up 5 fouls through 2 and a half quarters vs Pacers. how did 2 time champ Lakers get swept if what you say is true?
I'm not going to go as far as to say it's fixed. But I don't trust this league. And I have to think real hard before investing any money into the Blazers. But if it's a situation where they are not slated, why bother?
Like I said in a previous thread, These guys get paid millions of dollars I'm sure that there is lots of betting that goes on in all sports. Refs, Players, Coaches even the Commentators and I would not be surprised if the betting was in house and out of the house. The mafia probably gets involved also.
Just an observation: In hockey, the Kings win 2 at home in overtime, then go to NY and win 3-0. although we area talking LA v NY . . . so maybe hockey is fixed.
