Ouch. Have you been to a Yankee game in safeco? Like Boston, there's more Yankee fans than Mariners lol. I am a mariner fan but haven't been to game in a handful of years
I will give the guy props. I expect to see a lot of intentional walks in his future. There isn't a fight I wouldn't get into if I had Judge and Nurkic backing me up. The Mariners don't get a lot of love on this forum but they are my team since I was born. I was "gifted" them. I'm also quite sure I came out the womb hating the Yankees. King Felix will sit him down in the wild card playoff game. Neither NY or SEA are going to overtake the division leaders, so I really hope it comes down to that. Also, this was a fun listen. #YankeesSuck
https://www.si.com/mlb/2017/09/25/aaron-judge-ties-mark-mcgwire-rookie-record-49-home-runs Just broke the rookie record for homers. Putting up the numbers that are up there with Barry Bonds.
Final Season Stats: .280 BA 128 Runs * ML Leader 208 SO * All Time Rookie Record 154 Hits 24 Doubles 3 Triples 52 Home Runs * All Time Rookie Record 114 RBIs 127 BBs * All Time Rookie Record One of only 5 players to have an 8 WAR season in his rookie campaign. Judge may not be face of baseball yet but he's not far off.
As long as Mike Trout and Bryce Harper are ambulatory, he's playing for 3rd. And I hate both the Angels and the Yankees. (BTW, I know Judge is a rookie, but he's almost a year older than Harper and less than a year younger than Trout)
...they are going to call it the "Upper-Cut Era" in baseball, swing for the fences and launch those moon balls. Chicks still dig the long ball, right?!
Trout you got a point. He's the Alpha for sure. But Harper can't stay healthy long enough to fulfill his enormous potential.
...let the new Strikeout King earn those stripes! http://www.espn.com/blog/buster-oln...-judge-struggling-to-find-october-strike-zone
A 6'8" position players has a HUGE strike zone. (esp since he has problems swinging down and away. ) I realize the guy he is a free swinger but until a couple of years under his belt, umps' zones are going to vary.)
