    Hockey is on the rise. Higher attendance rates than the NBA, likable stars, great teams and ESPN doesn't touch it.

    Yeah, hockey at least seems like a sport I could see myself getting into, unlike soccer.

    He would have to pay rent for the arena in Seattle, he owns the arena here. If he buys a hockey team he will place it in Portland.

    Vegas would be an expansion team probably. I think if the coyotes move it will be to the pnw or Canada

    How is PDX anti-sports? The Blazers do very well here. The Ducks and Beavs are very popular. The Timbers are one of the most popular MLS teams in the country.

    Portland is lucky to have the Blazers and the Timbers. Allen financed the Rose Garden and Paulson paid the MLS Expansion fee. If Portland had to publicly fund any sort of the construction of a large sports complex, we would have NO pro sports here.

    Don't knock the NHL unless you've been to a game and didn't enjoy it. And I would challenge anyone that's ever been to an NHL game to honestly say they were not entertained. NHL would slay in PDX.
