I think Bynum will get the best of Greg in the first couple of meetings, and then Greg will more than likely be a little ahead a Bynum.

Oden and Bynum both are huge individuals. I do think Oden has a little more power to his game than Bynum does, but Bynum has a little more range to his game than Oden does.

I predict almost identical 14/11/2 seasons with Bynum having the slight edge in stats this season.

    They're both overrated.

Quick! Trade them while their value is high!

Well, it took Oden only the first game of the season to get injured.

I'm hoping Bynum can be more lucky.

This match up didn't live up to the hype. Both guys looked nervous out there and Oden got injured after Bynum bear hugged him to the ground.

Mild foot sprain isn't a big deal right? Oden will be back soon?

Neither player was all that good in the opener, but at least Bynum stayed healthy. In Oden's last two games, he has a total of 48 minutes, 24 points, 19 rebounds and seven blocks. That's not bad. How is Bynum doing?

Oden with... (3rd one is blocks)

    11/11/4 - 3 games ago
    13/8/3 - 2 games ago
    22/10/2 - last game

He is playing MUCH better now. I think this shoudl continue... his defensive presense is as good as there is in the NBA also.

Oden now has more double doubles on the year than precious Andrew Bynum does, and he has played in less games, and played fewer minutes per game than Bynum does.

Bynum and Oden matched up last night and niether looked dominate.

But from the one game they played against each other, Oden looks to have more potential than Bynum in that he appears to be almost as quick as Bynum but much more powerful.

    ^blah blah blah

Bynum did a great job of keeping the ball out of Odens hands. He fronted him several times just to change it up. Also blocked him out very well for rebounds

So you thought Bynum looked better than Oden?

I thought they both looked like projects. Problem with Bynum is I thought he went from project to legit big man who impacts the game last year . . . but it looks like he has taken a step back this year with less points, worse shooting percentage and fewer rebounds . . . or as you like to describe his play, blah, blah and more blah. :D

Neither of them had good games. Bynum hasnt played well ni regards to rebounding or scoring the last 10 games. I figure he is just hitting a wall right now and will come out with new energy after the all star break. Im honestly not worried about his progress

Oden looked A LOT better than he did the first game of the season. He's coming along nicely. I thought Bynum did a good job matching up against him defensively. Pretty funny to see Pau on Oden, that obviously didn't work out too well. lol. Oden's strong as an ox.

I think Bynum will become a better player than Oden.. Both players have a big future ahead of them.. But I do think that Bynum is better than Oden because of his tenacity at both ends of the floor.. Oden meanwhile is a better defender than Oden but lacks the killer instinct on the offensive end.. If the blazers coaching staff addressed Oden's weaknesses on offense he could probably be better than Bynum in.

Oh by the way, will you please check out this cool lakers myspace layout and tell me what you think about it...

    Thanks...

I think this topic should be revisited by everyone. Bynum is plagued by injuries that take him out for long periods of time. And Oden...I'll just keep my fingers crossed that he is not in the same boat. Both players are good when they are healthy, but once players get reputations of being injury proned it puts a sour taste in the mouths of not only their franchises, who rely on them, but the fans, who want to see them do well and be successful. Who is better...time will tell, but I think the answer will lay in who can stay off the DL.

Both of Bynum's injuries have been kind of a freak accident. I won't go so far to calling him injury prone, because it's not like it's a recurring injury (like TMacs back problems). They were freak accidents...a wrong time and wrong place type of thing.

Both Bynum and Oden are out with injuries at the moment. I don't think either are injury prone I just think the league is tougher than its ever been. Especially from the standpoint of a big man. I hope both will get back to good health so we can continue to discuss how much better Oden will be.
