If Houston can't find lottery pick for Asik, rival teams under impression they're also on the lookout for high-level power forward.

    This team is delusional.

Russell Westbrook (sick) questionable for tonight's game in New Orleans. Scott Brooks' comments: bit.ly/IHUMUM

He's a good player, but he's a malcontent and they don't have the leverage that they think they have, and the rest of the league knows it.

Russell Westbrook is always questionable. Oh wait, never mind. Brooks was referring to Westbrook's health, not his decision making.

Russell Westbrook would only go gay for Russell Westbrook.

Its gotten beyond delusional. It reminds me of David Kahn in Minnesota floating rumor to the media. ‘Were gonna offer Batum a toxic contract’ ‘were willing to give up valuable assets or you’ll be left overpaying Batum’ ‘We have cap space to give Batum a huge deal you better trade with us soon’ Well I guess at least Morey won’t try to make an offer with “implied” cap space.

If Houston had a good trade offer they would’ve made it. If another team thought Asik was worth more than his contract they would’ve signed him last season. Its ridiculous someone is making statements thinking Houston can overpay for a free agent and in one years time flip him for a lottery pick? Sheesh.

I wonder if Atlanta would be interested in parting with Milsap for Asik and picks?

    Isn't Horford a center though?

More so than LA, but a natural PF.

Yes he is. He's playing it almost exclusively and has better stats at center than power forward.

LA had better stats at center too. There's no disagreement that Horford plays the center position. But he is a natural PF.

    What does natural PF mean?

He plays the center position, plays like a center, and is not as good when he tries to play like a PF.

I think they fall well under .500 if you take Millsap off that team. They have a real shot of being 3rd in the East right now. Who knows maybe Miami or Indy gets injured and they luckily back into the conference finals? Danny Ferry does look like he's interested in a longer term team build though. I guess it depends what type of picks Houston is willing to give up.

I don't understand the objection here. Put a legit starting center next to Horford and you'll get similar results to LA/Lopez and Dirk/Chandler. The issue is a lack of talent in Atl. Horford plays center out of necessity, not because that's where he wants to play, or would feel most comfortable at.

Milsap is pretty good. Seems to me Horford could have shifted to power forward if he wanted to. They could have gone after someone like Jefferson, or Lopez, or even Asik. I think he likes playing center.

I like Horford and Milsap for small ball. But I think Horford would be killing it playing with a legit center. I wouldn't wish Asik on any team though with his prima dona attitude. But I wonder if Millsap could slide over and play the 3. I don't know. That would be interesting.
