Curry's been lighting it up but I think Lebrons been the best player in the playoffs so far. Although Lebron did play the cupcake Milwaukee and Curry had to deal with a deep Denver team without Lee.

He's played his best ball in Memphis

He played just as well for us when he had good teammates. Compare that Dallas series to his series against the Clippers this season.

Curry is #1 in assists and #5 in scoring (LeBron is #4)

He didn't play as well for the Blazers as he's played for the Grizzlies. Count the all-star and all-team selections in Memphis again.

Curry is avg about 3m assists per game then Lebron and Lebron is avg 3 more rebounds but whats been so impressive about Lebron is he shot 62.7% from the field compared to Curry 46.8%. I havent looked at Efg% but I know Curry's % would get bumped up because of how many 3's he shot.

All Star and all-team selections don't mean anything. He dominated that series. Curry isn't an All Star but as I said, best player in playoffs.

You only saying that because it kills your argument.

No. My argument is that he played well back then and we won key playoff games. It doesn't matter if he made the All Star team. Since it hinges on team success, if we had put good players around him in Portland, he would've become an All Star player here too. My point is that he played well in the playoffs ten years ago. He didn't suddenly get good in Memphis.

Zach was always this good. He was just too black for doughty, quaint little old Portland.

Man, I hate when the NBA has noon games in playoff series after those teams have been playing games every night that end past midnight. It just throws off their entire rhythm. Not just the Grizz, but OKC as well. Both teams looked like shit in the first quarter. I think they made something like only 11 field goals combined going into the second. Both teams were missing wide-open layups out there. In fact, it was a noon game that cost the Grizz their last playoffs. Game seven in Memphis after playing in LA prior, the team came out shooting worse than they had the entire season. It just fucked with their natural basketball rhythm.

The loss today was pretty hard to take though, because we were in control for the entire game and just choked it away, but it's hard to imagine Conley playing that sloppy for an entire series. I also don't know why we took so many threes in the first quarter. We're the worst three-point shooting team in the league, but I think we attempted something like eight threes in the first quarter alone (going 1-8 of course). There were so many times we could have blown that one wide-open, but we just got away from our bread and butter. It sort of reminded me of the second game of the LAC series.

I agree, i hate noon games as well. I didn't check the schedule saturday night and just assumed the first game would start at 3, ended up tuneing in at the end of the second because of it.
I wouldn't be too worried about this series I think Memphis takes it in 6. OKC needs another player to really step up and I don't think Martin is going to be able to have another game like that, especially if Hollins decides to just put Allen on him and just take him out of OKC's equation.

    Not too black, too stupid.

No question he showed that he had playing ability, but he certainly was not the player here that he is now. His ability to pass has improved, as has his desire to play defense. He's grown up in Memphis and is a positive for them. He had more of a negative effect on the Blazer franchise.

Feel ya, was pissed the entire day yesterday after the Grizz threw that game away. Were killin it with Z-Bo and Gasol inside then for some reason when it counted at the end of the game they stopped going to them. Having game 1 in the palms of your hands, and to loose it like that, tough to take indeed.

Reminded me when Portland had total control over the Lakers in game 7; then stopped going to the player(s) that got them that control. I don't understand why teams do that?

Aside from the refs helping LA in game 7, it reminded me a bit of this video.

We didn't stop going to Sheed.

As for the Grizzlies, the game wasn't at noon and neither team played any games that ended at midnight for them. Excuses excuses. Thunder in 4.

Because he got onto a good, maturing team.

    Could have easily been us.
