    Can't shoot/can't rebound is a bad mix

yea I know exactly how that is. I made some unflattering and in some cases very angry responses on here and other forums (might have been a little drunk) after pretty much every Blazers playoff loss in the Rockets/Suns/Mavericks series.

I hear ya, I'm just gonna go ahead an put KingSpeed on block until the Grizz are out of the playoffs/win it all.

The last thing you want as a diehard fan that's supported your team through ups and downs, watched an entire 82 game season, etc. is to get trolled on during the playoffs. If you post on this forum, you're probably more than a casual fan, so you probably put a lot of energy and time into watching your team all year, and the playoffs can be just as stressful as they can be rewarding. There's no need to add to that stress.

With that said, on a legitimate note about the series, I see a lot of "doom and gloom" prognoses from the media and fans, but I still think this is a series that's going to come down to the wire. The Clippers have a hard time containing Gasol offensively, and we just need to go to him more. Z-Bo needs to stop trying to make his match-up with Griffin into a wrestling match and just out-play the guy fundamentally, like he's done before. We'll fix the issues on the glass... I'm sure of that. We're the second best rebounding team in the league, and we've done well on the glass against LAC in the past. They got us tonight, but if history is any indication, it won't happen again.

Another factor in it all is that Tony Allen only played 17 minutes tonight, and the Clippers were able to post 112 on us. I don't have the numbers right now from our regular season schedule, but I think that's probably the most a team's scored on us this year, and it was largely coming from the perimeter, where Allen usually locks people down. I do know off the top of my head that we held teams to under 90 ppg on average this year, and Allen's probably the main reason for that. Gasol is the favorite for DPOY, but it should be Allen. Having him sit on the bench in foul trouble for 31 minutes is one of the more overlooked aspects of that game. Gasol's the defensive quarterback, but Allen's the guy who puts in the work and locks down the opposing team's best/hottest player, regardless of whether they're a pg/sg/sf. Having him out for significant stretches with foul trouble enabled LAC to go on some runs.

Its hard to explain the stress of important games and playoff match's to a spouse/anyone who doesn't get it at all. My Wife gives me a LOT of crap if I get upset at a loss or when the Blazers decide to play horrible. Actually had to stop drinking while watching games because it just escalated things lol.

I think the series will come down to game 7. There really is no home court advantage here, either club has proven they can win at the others arena and they both like the slow grind it out style. The clippers can run but when CP3 is in there he prefers the half-court game which I think favors Memphis. Its when the Clippers bench comes in and they start trying to constantly run that the dynamic of the game shifts for a little bit. Tonight's game just seemed like Memphis was out hustled all game long, not exactly sure why but it definitely was not the same Memphis team i'v watched a handful of times this year. I'm expecting more of a battle the rest of the series and if Randolph can morph into what he was in the 2010 playoffs then I expect Grizz to win in 7, if not then Gasol is going to have to take a lot more pressure on himself to score inside more.

I don't think NOVoodoo said that Gasol was the best center in the league. But I did. And I stand by that statement. Everybody has a bad game. Who's better? Dwight Howard? How many games did he stink up this season? Or maybe you'd pick Javale McGee because you want his dunks on our team?

I'm not sure why people still debate with Eric.

How many games did Marc stink up? Dwight Howard is wayy better than Gasol. Check the numbers. Also, Brook Lopez is better than Marc too. Maybe the best center in the league.

If you gave me the option of Marc Gasol or Dwight Howard on our team, I would choose Gasol. Howard is a fucking headcase.

Well that puts a dampener on their playoff hopes.

Well that sucks. Golden State is probably my favorite team after the Blazers.

    Dwight 17 ppg, 12.4 rpg, 1 spg, 2.4 bpg

Why would you pick Marc Gasol over that? Marc Gasol grabbed 2 rebounds in the most important game of the year. Marc isn't even the best Gasol. In the most important game of the year, he had 17 ppg, 20 rpg, 11 apg. When has Marc ever done that?

NOVoodoo had said Marc doesn't average as many rebounds because Randolph grabs most of them. But Randolph only had 4 last night. Why didn't Marc step up? 2 rebounds is embarrassing. Also he shot .333. What a great big man!
