I wish we could have gotten a series win out of Roy. Those were fun teams to root for and I would have liked to see him try to make a run.

Edit: Also winning game 7 in Dallas after going down 0-3... that would have been legit.

All the other teams in the West have won a playoff series since our last one in 2000

The only other team that hasn't won a series since 00 is CHA. And they were born in 04.

Well, Portland either goes big or goes home.

and when they go home, they go home a lot.

Late to the convo but while Miami isn't a big city, Dade County is is the most populous county in the state and 7th most populous in the country. The Miami-Ft. Lauderdale-West Palm Beach metropolitan area is the 8th most populous in the country.

Spurs playing their game so far against the Grizz. Getting lots of good looks from 3. GS ability to play one on one against Duncan and Parker really helped quell the Spurs 3 pt attack.

    Triple post...

So is the NBA trending back toward the importance of size and good play at the 5 spot? You've got Duncan, Gasol, Bosh, and Hibbert left and Bogut, Chandler, Noah, and Perkins just got eliminated. Its not exactly like the old days of Shaq, Hakeem, the Admiral, Mourning, Ewing, Divac, Sabonis, etc. but you've gotta have an anchor in there who can at least control the paint on defense.

Miami still the favorite with Bosh at the 5, but I consider them an exception to the rule because they've got so much elite talent. You can't build a team that way, its gotta happen through collusion, and the NBA is making it harder to build that way.

None of their perimeter players can keep Parker or Ginobili in front of them. Their defense collapses and then its corner 3's for Kawhi and Green and good looks all over from Bonner (who's played a ton so far) and Joseph.

Stern's worst nightmare has come true: 3 of 4 teams left are of small markets.

Wonder how much shit Zach will be talking to the media tonight? He's already ripped Pau Gasol and Blake Griffin in these playoffs for being soft, but Zach played like a gigantic pussy today. His shove on Duncan was comical because after getting open, he tried to flip the shot over his head before it got swatted.

You must forget how shitty Zach played against Griffin in his first two games of the playoffs this year. He'll bounce back.

Tim Duncan isn't Blake Griffin, even at his old age. Zach running his mouth is comical, though. Some knuckleheads never learn.

David Stern is retiring. He doesn't have nightmares any more. (But if he did: a worse nightmare would've been if the Bucks beat Miami.)
