Funny. ;). Except that I truly feel if LMA just got a little dirty, he would be a low post playmaker. No matter how dirty Nico gets, he will never be a playmaker on this team and that's coming from a guy who had Nico as his favorite player and biggest X factor to take us to the promised land...until a year ago.

Nic absolutely is a playmaker. Just for others not himself. And a year ago Nic had just finished arguably his best season in the NBA. You mean 6 months ago I take it?

Maybe I am reading this wrong. I am reading it as guys who can create their own shot and draw double teams, leaving others open they can then dump off to. A PLAYMAKING facilitator. Nico only gets his assists because Rolo rolls to the hoop better than most centers.
I do not see Nic as a playmaking facilitator, only a pick and roll facilitator, or a 3pt, dump to LMA in the post facilitator. This is all timing, not playmaking and n my opinion that's a HUGE difference.

In no realm will LMA ever be a good passer - he has blinders on whenever the ball is in his hands. His court-vision and awareness is abysmal. And this past season he even stopped kicking out of the post when doubled.

Haywood's deal isn't guaranteed, right? If that's the case, then hellz yes. Otherwise the price is too steep, unless Afflalo was going to opt in anyway.

It's not. It's non gaurunteed or maybe $2M at the most. Cleveland/Afflalo would be prefect for each other. We could use 24 as another asset to move up or take Delon Wright AND Justin Anderson or Robert Upshaw

Picking up Wright+Upshaw would be dope.

Funny, I thought you were going to say the exact opposite of that.

unguaranteed, needs to be picked up by August 1st. And it jumps from 2.5 or so, to 10.5 million. So he'd make, potentially, a pretty great trade chip.

Would be a guy to use in potential sign and trades. I think Cleveland is satisfied with their bigs and they got SF and PG coveted. They'll be looking for a vet SG to hit shots and play solid D. Haywood would make it possible to keep everyone and go trade for a Hibbert or S&T him and Kaman for DeAndre or any other max player. Hell we could send him to a team trying to dump salary and get a solid piece while preserving our MLE all whIle getting an extra pick.
Man I wish I could be GM for a day

Haywood's salary after July 1st could bring in a player making up to 15.8 million. Trade agreed to on draft day by all 3 parties, executed July 10th after moratorium. Afflalo to Cleveland for Haywood and 24. Haywood and 24 flipped to Indy for Hibbert. Essentially Afflalo for Hibbert, but we can't make it an actual 3 team trade because Afflalo can't bring back that amount by himself.
Obviously, depends on if Aldridge is sticking around.

I'd probably do that even if LA left. Leonard+Hibbert frontcourt would be sweet.

Sixers 2014 draftee Dario Saric will not play for the 76ers next season his agent, Jeff Schwartz, tells ESPN. Link coming >>>>>

This is the risk with Euros. You never know when they'll come over and ACB teams are throwing big money.

Abrines, who went #32 and would've been a first rounder if he said he'd come over right away, just signed an extension through 2019 -- the buyout is hefty, too.

This is why I'd have some reservations about Hernangomez if a prospect on the similar tier/upside is there - like a Looney, Wright or Upshaw, even with his red flags. Hernangomez plans to re-sign with Real Madrid this summer.
