I'm withholding judgement until the off season is over, but it has been pretty disappointing so far. Hopefully the blazers make at least one trade before next season that brings in a solid big man. I'm worried that striking out this off season makes it more likely the blazers will have to trade CJ to balance out the roster.

I don't really care we'll likely take back salary in a trade during the season to upgrade our talent.

I already did my venting in another thread. I would not be mad at C.J. if he left to a more attractive location when he's a free agent. Or anyone else for that matter. I think the NBA is a joke. The Blazers may want to look into trading C.J for a player that has a Nike shoe deal!

    I'm so fucking pissed off.

Gasol picked 2/$30M over 2/$40M. He can go fuck himself. He'll never get a ring in SA as long as GS is dominate.

We NEED a Center. Period. It was OUR BIGGEST need this off-season, and Olshey signs some fucking bum SF/SG to a massive deal with almost all of our cap. Fuck you Neil.

I KNEW we should have signed that Center we cut for Roberts that GS picked up. Now we have to package a bench (that we can't really afford to let go) in the hopes of bringing someone in.

Fuck you, Neil. Just fuck you.

Look on the bright side. With Durant in Golden State, 29 teams making moves are ALL shuffling deck chairs on the Titanic.

Fuck GS. I'm not afraid of that team, and I guarantee you no Blazer loses sleep over them either. We beat the SHIT out of both Cleveland AND GS last season; GS TWICE.

    Fuck them.

That center? Varajao? Seriously, you're pissed and thinking Varajao was the answer at center? Jeez.

Gee, he did pretty damned good on GS.

And as opposed to what? The PG who sat as a 3rd stringer on our bench?

The only reason he saw any significant minutes in the finals was because Bogut went down. The guy is like 35 years old and high mileage. I would rather have Plumlee and Davis over him.

    Going from Barnes to Durant....

Is like going from Armon Johnson to Damian Lillard.

As constructed, this Blazer team is nowhere close to competing with this Warriors team.

I don't need to vent. I don't concern myself too much with personnel moves and such. Whatever happens, happens, and I'll root for the team just as much as always no matter what.

I'm starting to think people are confusing some issues here. Our team did get better, maybe just a smidge but it is better. What GS did by adding Durant is nothing our GM had any control of at all. However I feel like people's disappointment in the single instead of the home run has been over amplified by Durant going to the Warriors. I think we kind of need to separate the 2 situations out from each other a bit more.

We can rehash rehash rehash all we want but the bottom line is the team is better. Another thing that was reinforced is that a GM can't force a free agent to stay. Olshey took a ton of ridicule last year for losing Aldridge. Presti, a very well regarded GM just lost a bigger prize. Is it his fault? Not at all, there's a limit to what can be offered, and players have the right to leave.

If we resign all our RFAs and add turner regardless of his contract, I feel we are going into next season better than we were last year. And improving on last year roster even a little bit is a success. I know we all had our hopes up this offseason that we would make a bigger splash than we did, but with the continual improvement from our young guys, we wills row and be better. Before last season we as a fan base can't to grips that we were embarking on a 4 year rebuild to contend and with olshey a acusitions last year we have jumped that by at least two seasons. Stay the course, all young and up and coming teams need to take their knocks and the fact that we are ahead of the curve and better than last year is something to embrace and get behind

While other GMs show up to meetings with 9mm's, Olshey shows up with a plate of cookies.

"Hey Hassan, you gonna join us, or what?"

"Hey Hassan, would you like a cookie? Paul baked them fresh this morning."

Very interesting to me how everybody is reacting to the Durant move. Everybody is so angry and he is now the bad guy. At least that's about the reaction I saw out of most on social media. I mean at least OKC fans got a heart felt letter. When Lamarcus left, everybody praised him practically except for Portland fans and all we got from that fuck was literally a few sentences not even written by him. Small market teams are just screwed. I think Neil knew that this team doesn't do well with free agents so he chose Parsons as option A coming off a knee surgery, giving him the max. It's a gamble really. Parsons for whatever reason said no but we may have dodged a bullet there with his knees. Maybe they don't hold up. Even with him added to the Griz, they aren't a better team. Got a better front court but thats about it. Houston got worse. Dallas isn't all that great. OKC just went down a bit. Everybody over reacts so much around here. I believe we are a top 5 team in the west easily
