How hard did they work for those points though? Were they all scored because of silly defensive mistakes?

Some are just making more excuses for Stotts. The Raptors have already won 2. I can see them win at least 1 more. And I hope it is Friday. Because their offense is diverse and their defense takes no prisoners.
The day I see Stotts do these things, I will believe in him.

If there are metrics on that I would be happy to consider them. If we're going to start measuring the amount of effort given on fastbreak offense and defense, we should probably also include effort exerted throughout the entire game.

Off the top of my head, both Toronto and Portland have give up some easy fastbreak points to GS, but not all of them would I consider easy. Same could be said in my definition of "silly". Difficult to really compare these things since they would be defined very differently from person to person.

Joe, you do realize that Stotts just got a contract extension, right? You’re in for at least a few more years of bellyaching. Enjoy. I’m going to get my kicks watching the Blazers win.

Hahaha... Your opinion is certainly valid and I respect it. I'll take a real measure of fastbreak defense (15.3 ppg vs 16.0) versus undefinable opinions based on ones like or dislike of a certain play or coach.

Sure, you'll use some statistic to ignore what you see in order to defend Stotts against the obvious.

Failing to pick up ball = Bad
Failing to communicate effectively to one or two guys that they need to pick up Draymond = Bad
Failing to properly hold team accountable for failing to pickup ball = Bad

Those things are bad. Those are inexcusable flaws in coaching and execution. Just imagine if they figured out how to pick up the damn ball.

For anyone - I hate when people feel the need to point out common knowledge and obviously known information just to be a smartass. You do that and you're gonna get that same treatment in return. Thats what Id expect.

Because Stotts got extended doesn't mean I believe he can beat Steve Kerr. No, he is not the worst coach in the NBA. Maybe one day his team will play to their potential or Oshay might bring in a player who can help change the philosophy of the team ... who knows?
But expecting that things change because of Stotts is not something I'm ready to believe in. Steve Kerr would have achieved a lot more with our team than Stotts has.
