If Toronto who is ok but not exactly great can beat a KD less GS team, and the Blazers got swept, Im not sure they’re that close.

Durant is gone. I don' think he stays regardless of the outcome.

GS defense got too used to guarding only 2 players.

its all conjecture but most of the reports Ive read and heard have said he’s likely to stay if they cant win without him, and he’s likely to leave if they can, ego and all that, but I have idea thats just what Ive heard.

And we have Zach Collins who is arguably just as good as Ibaka and Nurk who is probably better than Gasol at this stage of his career. Even with Nurk, Blazers get swept by Warriors. The Raptors have a defensive system that they execute flawlessly ... the Blazer’s have, well, whatever you want to call Stott’s “defence”. Are you actually watching how hard they play on D? That’s a direct reflection of their coach. And, coincidentally, so is Portland’s defence.

What this years playoffs had shown in a very obvious fashion is that Regular season basketball and Playoff basketball are two very different things. It also really doesn't matter how healthy they start the playoffs out. Seems like the level and intensity of play goes so far up that every player gets at least some kind of nagging injury and even the very best players are going down. Yes having a good season and getting HCA makes things easier. But to win a championship it takes health and luck. A whole lotta both.

It's not that. Raps are just damn good. And I'm tired of GS winning.

I dont really care who wins all this proves is the Blazers wont be winning any time soon, so you can be all excited about it in your mind confirming that Stotts is terrible but really for Portland all it proves is their a long ways away.

Ok Im fine with that, but then all the people saying this proves Stotts is bad and all that well, it doesnt work in NBA basketball.

Were a long way away because of our coach.

Our players are fine and got us there in spite of our coach.

The Raptors swept the Warriors during the regular season. Whatever the Raptors are doing, they actually have tried things that they know work.
There are coaches out there, who actually learn and improve.
Contrary to other coaches who get swept year after year after year and their excuse is ... "It was the Warriors".

Because we were made to believe that nobody on earth can beat the Warriors.
We are being proven massively wrong.

    Well here we go again.
    It's the NBA Finals thread
Turns into a Stotts bashing party.
Last i looked Stotts is not the coach of either of these teams.
There are currently 5 other Stotts bashing threads dominated by about 4 or 5 posters on the front page of the Forum.
    Maybe try those threads.
    How About those Raptors!
