Id take a guy with a 5% chance of moving the needle than a guy with a 1% chance.

In my post it's those two vs. Faried though.

I hope he does come back, but I fear he's going to come back without hops...Antonio McDyess came back...not at nearly the same level. We have one rehabbing big already. Boogie could take a couple years to get back in the game after 3 major injuries back to back

We plan on not using the 15th spot though.

he could jump over a post card....like I said earlier...he'll have to learn the ZBo Al Jefferson game ….my opinion is not optimistic about this 3rd straight setback.....reeks of Festus Ezeli

Just because we're not using that roster spot now doesn't mean there isn't a plan for it.

I think Olshey is keeping it open because it allows him to be flexible once the season starts. We could end up needing a backup PG, wing depth, or an extra big. Keeping that spot open allows us to fill the gaps easier.

Worst case scenario an open roster spot can lead to signing a player off the buyout market. I know we can make other moves too but being deep in the tax makes it pretty costly to make minor transactions.

They might be keeping the roster spot open for Hoard if a trade deadline deal doesn't pan out....the kid has game and is on a friendly deal. We added Wade Baldwin that way.

While I understand why some believe this injury to Boogie seems to be similar to Ezeli's injury.
Even if Boogie comes back at 10% of what he was.. That's still 100% more ability than Ezeli had.
Ezeli once he lost his ability to slide his feet, he had no place on a team.
Boogie can play and at worst I see him coming back as Elton Brand did. Boogie simply has too much skill to be done in this league.
Teams might be scared of giving him $$ but someone will... I mean if Mia gave Oden a contract there is no reason to believe Boogie won't get one.

Anything related to basketball there have never been any valid questions about Boogie.
This injury, while a setback doesn't produce any further questions.

But my point is he doesn't have to learn it because he already plays that type of game. He will never get the big bucks at this point but he will still be a good outside shooter and passer. He just might not be able to run the floor as well as he has in the past, but I would not be worried about his offense. If he can stay healthy and play average D then I would consider him for the minimum....next year

On it's own I agree...but he's had 3 in a row...major issues...that's sort of unheard of other than Oden.Ezeli.....Steve Kerr said it could take 2 or 3 years for him to get back to the game

The last sentence is probably why they’ll leave the spot open, unless there’s another injury, or an impact player hits the market. But two way contracts are a way to fill out the depth chart as well, so maybe the only scenario is B.

Yeah that is concerning for sure. Especially since he looked to be in great shape in the video. He lost some weight.

The opportunity cost is so extremely low thay its non-existant.

I dont see why keeping Hoard on a two-way verse bringing him up matters that much. We could sign him in the off-season.

These two players have entirely different skillsets. And the first player made a jump from year 2 --> 3 that is not really a realistic projection for any player. There is a reason he won "most improved player". I struggle to see the point of this comparison.
