I can’t even figure out what a possible sign and trade from Miami would look like. Doubt they would be willing to use Josh Richardson but they would almost certainly have to include either him or Winslow. Phila won’t want anything to do with their crappy contracts, and most of them don’t come off the books until 2021 so they won’t be easy to dump. Only Whiteside and Dragic of their big deals expire next year.

Olynyk, Richardson, and Waiters for Butler would be a decent s&t deal.

If I was the Sixers I would only do it if I get back JRich AND Bam. Otherwise wishing them good luck.

I don’t get this line of thinking. If I’m a Sixers fan I want as many rotational players as possible for Butler. He either gets you something or leaves you for nothing, and by nothing I mean they spent Saric and RoCo for a seasons worth of him.

The Heat contracts are very bad and they all have options for next season too except for Dragic. You don't want those type of contracts if you are the Sixers, better try your luck in free agency as they will have a lot of space left.

For me the perfect offer would be Dragic+JRich+Bam

If Philly is open to a trade and Butlers camp would consider staying would you do the following:

CJ & Trent for Butler & Mike Scott?
Going to have to make out CJ next year anyway or close to it and Butler would give us the wing player we need.
He would be the # 1 or 2 option depending on how Dame goes with the change.

Stupid question... with Dame’s max contract which he all deserves, can we still sign another superstar FA to help him?

haven't you been paying attention to threads around here?

Simons is headed for the HOF and will be better than Lillard soon; Zach will be a perennial DPOY candidate; Little reminds people of Kawhi; and Meyers will lead Portland to the championship a year from now

Portland is maxed out on superstars

yes we can do it. The year his extension kicks in I see only Nurkic, Simons and Little with contract. So it depends what we do with CJ etc.

No, but Dame’s new contract extension has nothing to do with this since it doesn’t kick in for two years. The Blazers don’t have any cap space and only have the Taxpayers MLE to use to sign a free agent. To add a max player will require a trade.

The 76ers literally have all the leverage here if Butler chooses Miami. They can't make it work unless they give in to the demands of the 76ers. Miami can't trade a 1st until 2023 either so I'd be asking for JRich and Bam too.

If I'm the 76ers I think I'd rather have a 25 year old Josh Richardson making $10 million a year instead of a 29 year old Jimmy Butler making $32+ million a year. I'd take Olynyk too and then find a 3rd team to take on one of the other contracts to make the trade work. Re-sign Tobias Harris and add some cheap shooters and I think that could possibly be better than last year's team.

KD, Kyrie, and Jordan to Brooklyn.

If Kawhi leaves Toronto, I expect a full rebuild (basically everyone for sale except VanVleet and Siakam).

We should jump on Ibaka or Gasol.
