Fan Fest tomorrow, preseason around the corner. I think it’s time to predict the Blazers win-loss record in a massive overhaul season. Will it be a season of surprising young talent exceeding expectations? A year of promise seeing how our young guys are capable, if not ready? Or will we be hitting the panic button by March? 35-47 Maybe some will say this is optimistic. But if we finish 35-47, while we will miss the play in, will show that we have some promise for the years ahead.
since there's already been a prediction thread, and I predicted 33 wins, I guess I'll stay with that. But I can see the Blazers approaching 40 and I can see them at less than 30. Not sure which is more likely because of injuries and the trade deadline by the way, the last time I checked that other thread there were 7-8 people predicting less than 33 wins and 3 others matching my 33 win predition
Mods can merge this and the other one with the Official 2023-2024 Regular Season Predictions Thread i create next week.
If I had to put money on the number they'd get closest to I'd probably say 33 wins. Wouldn't be shocked if it's anywhere from 21 to 41 wins though. Our young backcourt in Scoot Sharpe will have some growing pains and lose some games. Especially so if we play some of our young forwards or other youth. On the flip side we do have veteran talent and defense with Brogdon, TimeLord, Ayton, Thybulle, Simons. So if we keep all of them, have good health, and play well I wouldn't be shocked to see us make the playin or flirt with .500 Depends how this group comes together, if we trade any vets for picks, if we try to win all year, or eventually flip to tank at the end.
