He's a selfish asshole, which is showing itself more and more. That's not a bad thing, mind you, but at least LeBron James isn't constantly talking about Kevin Durant, nor should he be. LeBron is an egomaniac, too, but he's managed to make himself likable. I'm just wondering if this asshole act is going to work for Durant. If he wins a title, maybe he'll soften a bit like James did after winning his first.

On the flip side, and not in green font, SO GLAD I MISSED THE ENTIRE WEEKEND! Didn't have to sit through inundations of commercializations 99% of the time, and 1% of the time showing what they DIDN'T want to show - basketball. :)

I am entertained by watching Portland play, and Portland players play. Not terribly entertained by these games, or the NBA actually.

The thing is, Durant won't win a title as long as Lebron is in the league. The NBA doesn't play fair, that much is known. And as such, Durant may be a super star, but he's down a few pegs from Lebron.

On that note, even Carmelo won't win a title. The next few years is all about getting Lebron titles. That's the ONLY thing the NBA cares about.

This. The NBA is a joke, plain and simple.

Adam Silver taking over for Stern reminds me of Helfrich taking over for Chip Kelly.

Anthony won't win a title because he's George Gervin. He'll need a better player to lead him to a title.

Yeah, NBA junkies like me are rare. I get that, and have for years on Blazer boards.

If Carmelo can't win it in New York, he's not going to win it anywhere... not because the team sucks... but because the NBA won't allow it.

The NBA is plain rigged. The thing is, they do it transparently, they just don't care... which is just funny to me.

very happy Kryie got MVP and not Durchuck or Griffin, who just threw down a bunch of lobs and didn't do much else.

Brooks is a classless loser in the world of coaching. The script and common sense dictated that he feed the hot handed Blake Griffin, who was unstoppable with 38 pts and 4 minutes to score 5 to break the alltime scoring record. He froze him out and threw away the game in an embarrassing display of pettiness.

I agree. Brooks has been an uber-homer his 2x as AS coach. The year he had Westbrook and Durant was even worse.

And they realized Carmelo wasn't the answer. So they will not allow him to win anywhere else.

The nba is rigged. Better to just accept it now. :)

Me too! Irving played as 'quiet' a 31 point/14 assist game that I can remember. The announcers were too busy screaming about Anthony/Griffin/Durant. None of the commentators picked Irving as MVP, did they? Kerr is usually reasonable...

Casey Holdahl ‏@CHold Lillard on playing just 9 minutes: "I understand it's a seniority thing ... That's a respect thing and that's the way it should be."

Did he comment on LMA only playing 13 minutes in his 3rd AS game? Of course, Dwight Howard only got 13 minutes, too. Brooks is as big of an enigma as Durant. So much going for them, yet they piss away any goodwill, and for what reason?
