And the Mavericks can't take advantage of Gallo getting hurt and Lawson being out. I think the 8th spot is between LAL and UTA only now.

Torn ACL for Gallo. Should help us make the playoffs next year.

Huh? He would be out all next season as well? And DEN is deep. If there is a team that can overcome an injury it is probably them or the Clippers.

Yeah, Corey Brewer has taken his game to the next level this season. He and Wilson Chandler can easily log more minutes without skipping a beat. I'm still worried about playing the Nuggets in the playoffs as a Grizz fan. Their size and depth is just ridiculous. I'd much rather play the Clippers or Warriors.

He'll definitely be out most of next season if not all. Gallo is their best player.

I could see him being out until the All-Star break but not all season. However, by what measure is Gallo their best player?

He doesn't lead the team in points, he doesn't lead the team in rebounds, he doesn't lead the team in assists, he doesn't lead the team in steals, he doesn't lead the team blocks, he doesn't lead the team in PER and he doesn't even lead the team in 3pt shooting which is supposedly his biggest strength.

Ty Lawson is already their best player imo.

I'd agree with that sentiment. They run a ten man rotation, so one player going down isn't the end of the world, but I'd say that Lawson, Faried, and Iguodala (in that order) are all probably better and just as important as Gallinari, and even McGee can be the most impactful player on the floor on any given night.

I thought he led the team in points. Did someone pass him recently? I don't want to look it up.

Yeah, Ty Lawson passed him. He'll should probably be at least a third team All-NBA player when it's all said and done. He should have been an All-Star, but with the team's schedule at the time, nobody really even put him in the conversation due to the team's record, but he's been solid all year long, and he's really been putting up some great numbers since the ASG with the lighter end of the schedule.

The reason I've always liked this team is not only the height and the bench, but also the fact that Gallinari goes out, and we have a debate going over who was the best player on the team, with four players legitimately in the conversation. I'm not saying they'll come out of the West, but they're definitely capable of making it to the WCF. Nobody will want to play this team in the playoffs, even without Gallinari.

I like Lawson and he is playing really well lately but I don't think he will make an All-NBA team. Parker/Paul/Westbrook/Harden/Kobe/Wade will most likely be the guards on the all-nba team then behind them come players like D.Will/Stephan Curry/Paul George all will have a better shot at it then him.

Edit- Realized you were talking about at some point and time in the future and not this year. My bad.

Lawson is not All NBA (a top 6 guard) just like Gasol isn't the best center in the league (coaches didn't even make him an All Star). Lillard is better than Lawson, for one. Other guards that are better than Lawson: Kobe, CP3, Wade, Westbrook, Harden, Parker, Irving, George, Holliday, and even Curry. That's 11 guards who are clearly better than Lawson

If John Crotty was still playing, he'd be better than Lawson as well.

As a Warrior fan, its a bit hard to pick which of Nuggets, Clips, Memphis I'd prefer to play in the first round. We're 3-1 against the Clips and match up with them well, although most would probably think thats the least likely team that we would want to play in the playoffs. I think we match up better with the Grizzlies now that Bogut has rounded into shape, but they still seemingly always whoop our ass so I really don't want them. The Nuggets just don't scare me that much. Nugs-Warriors games are usually pretty darn close and although its hard as fugging hell to win in Denver I think it can be done and you just need to get that one win. I like the W's matchups against them as well.

I think no matter who the W's get it they won't be an underdog by too much. They're a tier below those clubs in the standings but Bogut's return to the court, return to form, and the team's adjustment to him in the lineup has got them back on track after major struggles in Jan/Feb.

The Nuggets will struggle without Gallo. He stretches the defense.
