See, but you referenced cumulative stats, so accordingly, I started talking about his career as a whole. Then you use one season to say my opinion on his career holds no weight...

    C.J. isn't a 6th man caliber player. Quit hatin'.

I watch about 90% of my Blazer games with the other team's broadcasting team. I can't tell you the number of times their broadcasting team dreamed of having a back court like Dame and CJ. To be honest I think the Warrior's broadcasting team is the only one that hasn't (for obvious reasons with Klay and Steph). And even then they talk about Dame and CJ being right behind Klay and Steph. We've been spoiled with such a great backcourt. Yes some things need to change with the roster to get us over the hump. CJ is good.

I actually think it would be quite interesting if CJ had his own team so to speak. When Dames been out for various reasons and CJ’s been the defacto star type player he’s played that role really well, he passes more too. I think we might be missing the part where maybe Stotts is telling him to be the gunner he is, and let Dame worry about getting everyone involved.

    Yup thats it! heh.

Im as a guilty as anyone sometimes Im definitely thinking , “so theres 2 wide open guys CJ, with open passing lanes maybe you should give them the ball.”

It might just be him doing his job though.

No one would have any issues with your posts if you actually gave credit when it's due.
Just like with the former member Tunchi, however. You only see the negative plays and refuse to acknowledge the skip passes for three's CJ made in that Washington game late. All because CJ shot like ass.
Yes it would've been nice to see CJ throw a rock in the ocean from the shoreline. But to ignore the plays he made when he passed the ball to wide open teammates makes you biased.
Everyone who consistently posts in the game threads get annoyed when CJ misses a wide open teammate. Or when he goes 1 on 3.
But most of these posters also will acknowledge when CJ makes a good pass to a teammate.
Being that it's not normal for CJ to make these plays, they're not hard to notice. Maybe try it sometime.

What the hell? THE VERY FACT THAT HE'S BETTER THAN CJ SAYS HE DOES HAVE BETTER VISION. 4X All Star and 2X All NBA says so. In fact, he just might be in the HOF one day if he keeps that up.

Holy shit. I can't even believe that you even said that. Read what you're typing next time, lmao.

Klay's defense is what makes him better than CJ not his vision imo.

It takes more than Defense to make All NBA, in my opinion.

Dame has no Defense.....All NBA though.

No I'm saying that's the deciding factor that makes Klay such a better player than CJ right now. I don't look at Klay's vision as his strong suit. He's definitely got good vision but if you're asking between Klay's defense and his vision. Defense all the way.

But yes Klay is All NBA for a multitude of reasons--his defense being a big reason.

So you don't think he plays better at every facet of his game than CJ does? Am I understanding you correctly? You really want to get hung up with me over a word?

I can't even believe we're having this conversation. There is NO comparison between the two. Klay is hands down better than CJ McCollum in every way. The way he moves on the court, his Defense, how he passes the ball....and you're hung up on "vision"? Really?

Bro, Klay is not a better passer than CJ. Every metric proves otherwise. You are proving my point that you don't know shit about this.

This was exactly why I posted in this thread. People are hating so hard on CJ that they can't even comprehend facts proving that they are incorrect.

My issue with the Dame/CJ backcourt is defense. They're both mediocre defenders. In the past, teams with point guards who weren't good defenders would hide them on small forwards or shooting guards. The Suns did it with Nash for years. We can't hide Dame AND CJ.

Also, there's really no excuse for CJ not to average more assists. He should get several a game from passing to just Dame. He has great handles and I know he's a very intelligent guy so there's no reason he can't average 4-5 a game.

I'M NOT HATING ON CJ! Jesus, that's not even why I started this thread; I like CJ, especially compared to clowns like Meyers and Turner.

But trying to compare CJ to Klay is asinine on so many levels. CJ just isn't on the same LEVEL as Klay....it's not a matter of compatible skills. One is elite, and the other isn't. You can argue numbers all you want. CJ is VERY good; I'd say better than 80% of this league when it comes to SGs. But I wouldn't call him elite. Klay's career numbers are better than CJ in every way except rebounding.

FUCKING READ BEFORE POSTING. I ALREADY PUT THE LINK TO THEIR FUCKING BASKETBALL REFERENCE COMPARISON PAGE.

IF YOU KNEW HOW TO READ YOU COULD HAVE NOTICED THAT YOU JUST POSTED STATS PROVING THAT CJ IS A BETTER PASSER.

    GOOD JOB!

I think you need to come around to the fact that if you make a critical post about a player or the team, you're hating. That's how some people view anything that isn't sunshine and rainbows. That's how it has always been.

My apologies, you see when I see a bunch of posts of you hating on CJ it's hard to tell that you aren't really hating on CJ.

It's especially difficult when you start calling out people who are defending CJ.

SMH, you do know that post history is searchable right?
