    No, not saying don't take the vaccine. My position is that we don't know enough about the vaccine and what it will end up doing. Sure, we have a study of 20,000 people over 6 months, but that isn't enough really to make conclusions as to the effects of the vaccine.

    Its not FDA approved and is under emergency authorization only. Caveat emptor. People are touting it as being "totally safe" where we really don't know. I guess the more we administer it, the more we can see more of the effects.

    My fiancee said at her work, you get injected, but have to be monitored for about 15 minutes to see if you have an adverse allergic reaction to the shot.

    What should I do after my flu shot?
    • Remain within the building for at least 15 minutes. The nurse or pharmacist needs to watch you to see how you react to the flu shot. It is most likely that you will be fine, but a very small number of people can have a reaction that the nurse or pharmacist will need to treat with a drug immediately.
    • If you feel faint or short of breath, or experience chest tightness, inform the nurse or pharmacist.
    • In extremely rare instances, an allergic reaction may occur. The nurse or pharmacist is prepared to handle this.

    I got my flu shot at Costco this year and they told me to wait around.

    'round these parts, if you've had flu shots before, you can just leave after the shot. If you've never had a flu shot before, you're supposed to hang around a bit.

    I'm sure it'll end up being the same for our yearly COVID-19 shots.
