Damn that's shocking really. I honestly thought with the marketing and 4th quarter reputation, Lillard was the sure fire replacement. Considering the heavy narrative as well of him being snubbed.

I'm really interested how Lillard responds to this.

He's got a cool sounding name, Boogie.

Kinda like Shaggy from Scooby Do.

Dame sounds like a woman and no one likes the WNBA.

This fiasco needs some sort of a "gate" moniker. Watergate... Inflategate... Snubgate.

I hope so--this funk Dame is in right now probably has to do with his back. He'd never use that as an excuse but you can't deny that the back injury has to be affecting his game.

2 time defending champions in Skills though. Tough to pass on that if he's invited.

It's a stupid event anyway. I hope he rests.

This is shocking to me. I was confident he'd get the spot.

The NBA snubbed Dame; Dame should snub the NBA if they ask him to compete in any other events.

Selfishly, I'm glad. It seems clear Dame needs to rest his body and mind.

Rest up Damian, then burn them! Burn them all to the ground. Bring your yellow tape.

Gonna be awkward when they run those stupid State Farm commercials and Dame is the only guy not playing. He can sit courtside with Stockton.

Once Love and griffin made it in 2011 the whole "have to be on a winning team" has been thrown out the window.

I feel like those commercials jinxed him. Mr. Clutchman has been anything but that the last few weeks.

This is wrong on so many levels but it's not like it's the first time the allstar game picked the wrong guys. Curry should have been an allstar in the past and got snubbed, look at what he's done since. Lillard should add fuel to the fire now for sure.

I can't wait for the Dame rage tour. It's gonna be #Lillardtime all the time now.

YaI know, lack of maturity, whatever. A massive slight like this will make him play harder than before.

I don't get this whole "lack of maturity" thing that some people are spewing. People have been using perceived slights to motivate themselves since the dawn of athletics. Does anyone really think he's dogging it out there?

exactly. Perceived slights like your peers not respecting you makes you go harder at work. It's even more relevant in a competitive environment like sports.

This is the quickest ever for an injury replacement. Gotta think Silver didn't want to look like an utter fool when he announces Cousins as the AS replacement after Lillard drips 85 on the Hawks tonight.
