They were third string scrubs. He can sit them all he wants. Nobody will notice.

Honestly this is the biggest bunch of crap over a small stupid thing I've ever seen.

And seriously, the courageous thing would have been to say "Damn right no means no. Next question."

Like there hasn't already been a million jokes about the phrase "no means no"

Sometimes I swear people want to be offended.

Torrodney Prevot and Tyree Robinson are both next man up at some pretty vital positions. and Highly rated recruits. If they were out (which I dont think they will be) we're looking at Isaac Dixon or a true freshman Justin Hollins coming in. (i'm only disagreeing with the 3rd string scrubs part)

Robinson was not named originally because his jersey was covered.

yep. I guess who he was hadnt crossed my mind as I recognized him from the recruiting process. Him and Prevot are pretty necessary IMO. The other two in the video I believe were Kani Benoit, and Chance Allen. (3rd string as you said) :)

Congrats to the Ducks! Well done, now my question. Don't the Ducks have their own forum here?

I was listening to some sports radio as I was driving earlier. Well, anyways, Amani Toomer and whoever the blowhard he was hosting the show with was saying that they think Mariota will be a below average quarterback in the NFL. Prepare for the next Ryan Leaf....yada, yada.... Then, Toomer took it a step further and said that in last nights game Winston showed more NFL traits that would carry over than he saw from Mariota.. They went on about how Mariota runs a gimmicky offense.

lol. Get a fuckin clue. This should be as surefire of a #1 pick as there is. Another show I was listening to had a draft expert on who thinks Tampa is going with Leonard Williams of USC with the #1 pick.

I think it's obvious that mariota will be a good pro, he is smart, good body and elusive. Those three traits alone can get you very far.

Not to be Debbie Downer, but many people thought Joey Harrington was a can't miss prospect also.

Just about the worst thing that can happen to a QB is going high to a craptastic team with a history of failure that is looking for a savior. Harrington never had a chance...and the same fate may await MM. Like RGIII, he may wind up physically and mentally broken by a clueless organization and desperate coach.

    It's damn depressing. :(

People like Aaron Rodgers who fall in the draft probably should see it as a blessing in disguise.

I get that. I know that being drafted high as a quarterback can be the kiss of death. But, he is way better than Harrington was. Joey was more of a hot item because he was Captain Comeback. He was drafted to a Lions team who has for years had a notoriously bad offensive line and had like 5 different coaches in 5 years and Millen drafted shitty pick, after shitty pick. I don't have as much of a problem with them saying he won't be a good NFL quarterback as I do with them not giving any explanation as to why. Also, they said that Winston showed more NFL promise in that game.... Where? Winston looked like dog shit.

If MM is doomed to be the next RGIII - Winston is already being fitted for a casket as the next Vince Young!

Joey's first year with the Lions was really fun to watch. He really got that team playing above their actual talent. He just didn't have a line... or a running game.... or really any receivers. They kept trying to draft receivers, but none of them worked out.

I was so sure the Florida chop chop at the start of the game was going to overwhelm and intimidate our boys and make them do things they hadn't done all year. I was wrong obviously. What a game. It's too bad it's a D that gives up so much between what Herbstreit said the 20's. Don't know if that will work with OSU. The best thing going for Oregon for that much up. Cardale Jones. I think he is very vulnerable. Mariota won't be I feel. Advantage Oregon.

I don't think Jeff Fischer is a bad coach though, and the Titans werent even as bad as the Bucs. Vince Young was over rated imo.

I know a lot are saying RG3 in relation to Marcus. I think Russell Wilson makes more sense. Just his demeanor and conduct on the field. I think he is going to be fine in the NFL when he goes. I'm not convinced he is ready to leave his teammates here at Oregon.

    1st. Mariota is very intelligent.

2nd. He can learn to become a pocket passer. He hasn't been asked to do it at Oregon.

3rd. Mariota is excellent at reading defenses. That is the skill that differentiates a great NFL QB from a good one.
