Kings are on the brink of upsetting the Jazz in SLC right now.

I like Kanter's potential. He's built like Pek already but much more mobile.

Doubt the Jazz would trade him to a rival.

is it still the same owner that was a car dealer? Maybe PA agrees on the side to buy out a couple of lots?

The smart thing to do if you're the Jazz is have those two as your PF/C of the future and look at unloading Millsap/Jefferson in the offseason. I think the former two will be better than the latter.

So then, you do see a reason why we wouldn't be able to pry either of them away--because a forward-looking franchise wouldn't be interested in giving up either of them.

Isn't this exactly what everyone has said the Jazz are looking to do? I don't know why anyone would think Kanter/Favors would be available when it's been widely reported on that they're looking to get rid of both Millsap and Jefferson.

Kevin O'Connor isn't going to give up on Favors or Kanter in favor of Al Jefferson or Paul Millsap.

I do think the Jazz keep one of Al Jeff or Millsap (most likely Millsap). While Favors is ready for a bigger role Kanter really isn't. A nice 3 man rotation would go a long way towards continuing to be a playoff team.

Tonight Dalembert had the best stats per minute in the league this season, according to ESPN efficiency. He was 2.42 (65.3 efficiency points/27 minutes). I have watched this page for years and I think it's the highest ratio in the history of this ESPN page.

Pierce is the only one this season over 2 with a stupendous 2.19 (74.3/34) game. Varejao is next at 1.93. Everyone else is below 1.8.

I'm telling you dalembert would be an awesome pick up for cheap for us. He is exactly the type of player we need to play center while Leonard develops. If we don't go this route then we need to look in trading Leonard more than hickson. I think leonard would bring a different type of value in a trade. Could be used to trade for a draft pick or with a player to get a good starter.

I am down with Dalembert on a two year rental. 3rd year team option. I just wonder if that would interest him. He obviously would like longer and he may hold out for the top bidder (money-wise).

I just don't see him getting big money though. With the big man tax, I think he would be lucky to get 6-8 million per. His age and minutes able to play is a huge ding on his value. But, averaging around 15-20 minutes per game, 6-8 million is a bit steep, but I think it's worth it for the rental.

I've posted this before but I will post it again. You can use Leonard, plus e will and Jefferson for dalembert now and have his bird rights. We retain both dalembert and hickson, which leaves us around 7 million to offer a free agent. Then after obtaining the free agent, we can sign hickson and dalembert and be over cap. Then we have min mle of around 2 million to find another bench player.

Trading leonard and other pieces for an expiring contract just makes me sick.

+1. Not trading a rookie C for Dalembert's bird rights.

Also, am pretty sure the cap holds of Hickson and Dalembert would eliminat emost our space.

We just need to say "screw trades" and wait until FA. If we can find a team interested in Hickson and they have an intriguing piece then yea pull the trigger but no team is going to give us anything for our rookie/terrible vet bench. What really has me wondering next year is our Lottery pick, if we don't get it then nothing changes but I wonder if that pick would allow for some big lopsided trade like lets say the suns dont' get ride of Gortat then our pick most likely 10/11 for him.

I don't watch a lot of nonBlazer games lately, so I'm interested in any intelligent appraisals/analyses of Mozgov.
