Wishful thinking has clouded their common sense.

    Jones? DMo? *gag*

"John Conzano of twitter posted about the Pop meeting way before anyone else, so his sources are legit."

    That was amusing.

As much as I don't like canzano, he might be right on all this. Looking through his tweets, on draft night, he claimed Neil's press conference was an act. That's something I can believe. Canzano later tweeted in response to somebody. "We have moved on. Lma has moved on". Beginning to think that they knew he would be gone for some time. To avoid panic from blazer fans and keep it somewhat under control to not say anything. That batum
Trade told us all but we were in denial. The fact that Neil didn't even go after wes or rolo. Just let them walk. Then
the other day when Hughes said that. It makes sense. Then for more damage control quick tweets out that hughes has nothing to do with free agency.I feel like these local guys are being told to just give us some hope here and there even if there is no hope in getting him back at all. Woj was the only one tweeting that we were still in it. Then eventually stopped with his last tweet about Spurs and suns. No mention of portland.

Was Monroe and lma an actual plan? Who knows. Maybe we just wanted a guy to replace him and give us something down low on the offensive end. Then we heard we would try to lure him back with rolo but this came out right before rolo committed to the knicks. There was some symbolism this morning in dames post and from what he said to quick, it confirmed to me as well that Lamarcus is gone.

I think all of us have some tiny bit of hope he comes back, masking it with bitterness and getting mad about it. Even im in denial. I'm bitter. It sucks. Time for us to move on and stop thinking there is some other plan. Front office has been very very quiet. Too quiet.

Olshey is selling false hope. What was the plan? What do we have to show for? Save cap space? For what? Next year when a bunch of other teams can offer a max deal? By the way we can't even land bigger free agents. Should of just brought the band back together but no, we must believe in Neil's plan. It's a joke.

No, I would not give you false hope
On this strange and mournful day
But the mother and child reunion
    Is only a motion away
    Oh, little darling of mine

I can’t for the life of me
    Remember a sadder day
I know they say let it be
But it just don’t work out that way
And the course of a lifetime runs
    Over and over again

No, I would not give you false hope
On this strange and mournful day
But the mother and child reunion
    Is only a motion away
    Oh, little darling of mine

    I just can’t believe it’s so
Though it seems strange to say
I never been laid so low
    In such a mysterious way
And the course of a lifetime runs
    Over and over again

But I would not give you false hope
On this strange and mournful day
But the mother and child reunion
    Is only a motion away

Oh, the mother and child reunion
    Is only a motion away
Oh, the mother and child reunion
    Is only a moment away

If Lamarcus had informed the team he wasn't coming back, as reported, Olshey wouldn't be sitting there holding the cap space for him. I think that applies to the proceedings to date as well. We struck out on Monroe so Neil went to his contingency by signing Ed Davis.

I remain hopeful he returns, but my contingency is hopeful that he chooses Phoenix if he leaves. I would at least like to get assets

How do we know that Neil even plans on using more cap space for free agents? Who knows I guess. If I was Neil I would just continue on without LA, he's already costed us some free agents

True. Who knows, maybe they know something we don't for holding out this long on LA. Dames subliminal tweet though sure seemed like that phone call didn't go as planned

Whiteside+Bosh for LMA+ Keman would be epic for us, those 2 are an upgrade over LMA imo.
But it's too good to be true:sad:

yeah, but I'll still take McBob/Whiteside/Deng. That matches salary and gives us our 3, a Defensive big and McBob, while they get to run Dragic/Wade/Winslow/LMA/Bosh. That's a heckuva lineup, but thin. They can probably get ring-shoppers to go there for the vet min, though...

Leaving us with Dame/Henderson/two of Deng, Davis, Aminu/Whiteside or Leonard with some decent pieces on the bench. And we'd have all the same cap space next year, minus 6M or so for McBob. If they wanted to try to steal from the heat, they could ask for Anderson instead of McBob and have all the salary expire next summer.

So no announcement, Blazers still not making moves, and no tweets. I should have went to Vegas this weekend to forget free agency!

Technically they had a referendum on that and he is a Brit. He's just not English, because "the English are wankers."

Did we learn nothing from Sam Hinkie? we should have at least 10 Centers if we want to be serious about building a team.

He's another one that could be dangerous if he drafts decently:

2015: Okafor, traded his 2nd for 2 2nds and cash, drafted Holmes, Tokoto and 2 Eurostashes
    2016: up to 4 1sts; theirs, L*kers (top 3 protected), MIA (1-10 protected), OKC (1-15 protected) and a 2nd
    2017: just their 1st and 2nd
    2018: their 1st, 3 seconds
    2019: their 1st, 3 seconds
    2020: their 1st, 3 seconds
    2021: their 1st, 2 seconds
(you can thank NYK and BKN for those last 2)

"I dinnae git the memo." Plus if you talked to my family in Dundee I'm not sure they'd agree (They voted "Yes" in the recent referendum).
