    Understood. And I'm not discrediting him going to SA, potentially. I know it's not a perfect comp.... But... If we we're in this identical situation with Brandon Roy, and he's looking at Seattle.... With the Sonics still there, of course.... I'm not concerned. I expect these guys with strong ties to their hometowns to buy big houses near where they're from. I know it's different on many levels, after traveling Texas a lot this year. Having visited both recently, he could be considering the idea of buying in SA regardless, buying in SA and playing in PDX, and buying/playing in SA. I'm just saying I'm not going to read into it too much. Understanding the area, the travel, understanding similar circumstances for myself (albeit at far less compensation), that doesn't sway me.

    I think SA is our biggest competition for LA, all that being said. House-shopping doesn't sway me. But I'm curious if LA thinks that core is enough. If he signs, it's all or nothing for this coming season in my opinion. They either win this year, or they have serious rebuilding. Which, considering our standing, I couldn't blame him for jumping at (we're in the same boat, but lesser management, coaches, less history, etc.). He can't lose, we're no better/worse, and other than his overall legacy could be shot, he has no reason not to pursue (other than money). I guess we'll see how LA values $27M.

    I'll believe it when I see it. $30 million is still $30 million. Especially when this will most likely be his last big contract.

    What's so great about LA anyway? He's a good one on one defender, average at team defense. He's got a good post up game but spends too much time on the perimeter. He's one of the least efficent scorers in the league. He's not a good passer, he's a black hole on offense. Not sure why some people think he's so great.

    If you were considering a move such as this, part of the due diligence is to evaluate the neighborhoods and homes. I think we all need to not let this be a rollercoaster, every time someone tweets something one way or the other.
