Love how they ditched the super lame Shooting Stars contest. Having big men in the skills contest made it interesting. 3pt contest was great and so too was the dunk contest. Best AS Saturday Night in a long time IMO.

Couldn't care less about the ASG but it is looking like a very successful weekend for the NBA in Toronto.

I learned many years ago to skip the Dunk Contest. Most viewers leave unhappy with the decision as to who won. It's so subjective. And the action (3 seconds per dunk) is between 4 minute waits for the next dunk. In short, it's both boring, and it pisses you off. The worst of both worlds.

I apparently wasn't alone. They dropped the Dunk Contest in about 1997. Then they stupidly brought it back about 3 years later.

Shaq gave Gordon 2, "9" scores when everyone else gave him 10s..Shaq fucked Gordon's win and you could tell every other judge was pissed at Shaq...Lavines last two dunks weren't 50s....I'm now ready to talk trade with Orlando for Gordon...had no idea what a beast he is...forget Blake Griffin..Aaron Gordon is one strong, talented dude. I'm sold

I think Barkley should be fired for trash talking Will Barton on national TV..would have been severly insulting to his friends and family watching him participate. ..I used to like Chuck until that infantile commentary...Kevin Hart was no better. Was glad to see Lavine give Will props for his last dunk. Was glad to see Kenny stand up for him.

Three of the judges gave Gordon on 9's on his last dunk on what should have been all 10's...most of Lavine's dunks were laquidasical, nothing special, and most of them weren't worth 10's...Gordon's dunks were not only unique but original...NO make this trade happen.

I hope Kobe is able to throw down a flashback dunk with there being no worry of a defender stopping him. Obviously he can't rise up like he used to be able to, but he's gotta throw one down tonight, right?

Of all the all star games for me to not be able to stomach, this is the all timer. The TV crew is going to be sucking Kobe off the entire game. They already were yesterday on the little bit I saw on NBATV. Guh.

I've never seen anything like it. Kobe had so many fundamental flaws in his game and terrible shot selection. The only all time stat he leads in is missed shots. He was an asshole teammate. He was either at the worst a rapist or at best a despicable unfaithful womanizing cheater.

People are treating him as if he was the best basketball player ever. He hasn't been relavent in four years. He's legitimately the absolute worst player in the league today. As a fan of teamwork, good passing and unselfish teams Ive just seen way too much of this circus.

Fitting to see Lamarcus shoot a midrange airball with no defender in sight and miss it by 10ft of the rim

Kind of funny and endearing: the coaches are surrounded by millionaire star athletes (and Kate Upton) but can't take their eyes off the Red Panda.
