I check them every time I get one, and it doesn't bother me at all. I actually really like being updated on news/trades/injuries around the league. But you can't delete them, but once you read them it doesn't count as an unread message anymore.

Until a new one deletes it I assume.I love how Raja Bell is limping off the court being held up by a trainer dragging his leg as the announcer says "Raja Bell seems to have hurt his hand..." Then later on Craig Sager updates and says it was back spasms.
Yeah the messages don't bother me either. I play all my games so I don't get a lot of them and it only takes like 5 seconds before the message goes as read. Once you start a new season the old messages will be deleted and you'll get new ones the next season.
