For a troll, you sure use the word troll a lot.

This thread is confusing because the title makes it appear comedic, but most posters are contributing serious ideas. Here's mine.

Aldridge, true to form, thinks only of how he can score and make himself 1-dimensional. Contrast him to Matthews, in their use of tablets during games.

I don't think the quote quite says what you think it says.

Kinda sounds more like he's looking for how he can help his teammates score, rather than himself. But of course, people only see what they want to see...

    Alright some more negatives.

    1. We shot poorly last night.

    2. Our backups can't shoot worth a f____.

    3. Dallas came out, put pressure on Aldridge and forced us into bad shots.

    4. USA Soccer Team drew the Group of Death in the WC.

    5. Nowitzki is better than Aldridge.

    6. Stotts was outcoached by his mentor.

IMO the bench remains the only glaring concern for this team, especially considering the course of the entire season. I think we keep our starting unit intact and look to add at least one other scoring threat off the bench with experience.

I have to agree on being out coached. Stotts seems to have a very sharp mind when it comes to offense, making plays, and recognizing how to make the most of what you have. But he seems to be both a bit slow to make adjustments and to recognize that adjustments need to be made. He also tends to stick more to his overall plan, instead of making game to game adjustments depending on what team they play. I've seen too many times this season some good coaching and preparation by opposing teams trying to take the Blazers out of their plan, but I've yet to see the same level of adjustments being made by Stotts or his staff.

Dallas: 2 days off to rest and prepare to play Portland, 3 games in past 7 nights

Portland: playing a back-to-back, 5 games in past 7 nights

Portland crushes Dallas if not for this.

Eh... Dallas is one of those teams that give us trouble. It's like Phoenix. They just seem to have our number. I think it's the Carlisle vs Stotts factor. The master and the student.

Portland vs Indiana was scheduled for replay today at 2pm PST.

Instead, it was a replay of Kobe (81pts) vs Toronto from 2006.

What a horrible game to showcase NBA basketball, and to replace the Port v Indy game that was the best basketball of this early NBA season. Go get your shine box NBATV.

Any team with 2 days to rest and prepare, who plays Portland who is on the 2nd of a back2back, is going to give the Blazers trouble.

The days off really don't matter. They were talking about how Stotts uses many of the same plays as the Mavs, and in some cases doesn't even change their names. Carlisle knows our system, but many of the changes happened on the fly. It was actually a really interesting chess match between the two coaches. Carlisle started out by doubling LA. Stotts countered by going more to Dame. The Mavs countered by putting Marion on Dame. Stotts countered by attacking Calderon with Batum. It was really fun to watch the two coaches duel.

Mo Williams needs to stop jacking up shots in transition, and with 19 seconds on the shot clock. PASS THE FRICKIN' BALL!
