because it's just so much harder to unscrew the hinges and put them on the outside of the door jam...whew!
Was there a night-man in there who said "Relax, we are all programmed to receive. You can check out any time you like, but you can never leave."
supposedly the song was about the experience of life in Los Angeles, not a super interesting hotel in the middle of the desert (FWIW - I tried to get us rooms there when we decided to do our little trip to Death Valley, but it was already full more than a month ahead of the trip - my better half was excited about it because the reviews said that is a bit of a dump, but it sure is a pretty old building).
They have a beautiful old giant fireplace in the lobby. I'll bet it gets cold there at night in the winter. Must be nice to snuggle up to. And yes, I'm aware of the song's origins. I saw an interview recently that Don Henley did about the song. Strangely enough, there's a "Hotel California" in Baja that I almost went to with my family back in the late 1990s when we went to Cabo San Lucas for vacation. They sold a lot of merchandise profiting from the song at the airport, but we never ended up going to the hotel, so I don't know how mocked up it was.
Haven’t posted pics here in awhile. Here we go!!!! If I’m posting too many, let me know FAMS. I shoot some everyday, so I have tons to share.
