Yeah, do you listen to 2pac? His songs make me think alot, if you dont have one you should pick up one of his Greatest Hits.
I pick rock because you actually have to learn instruments to play and I like solos and skilled guitarists along with people who can actually sing.

I listen to a little bit of old school rap, but I can't listen to it a ton, because it curses a crap load, and my parents hate it.but either way, I feel that my music is much, mcuh better anyways.
