    France Vs Argentina; who wins?

Seems like Argentina will be the “favorites”

I don't know who is favored.....but from everybody in my life, ALL of them want to see Messi finally win one. That's where I'm at, Vamos Argentina!

Something about Messi I just can't stand ... I know he's one of the greats in the sport but think it would be hilarious for him to lose in the finals again in his last WC ... but then that would have me cheering for France which I just won't do either. Guess it's back to not caring about soccer for another four years! Seriously though, what a couple of snoozers in the semifinals after a great quarterfinals. Hoping Sunday is fun for all you soccer heads.

That is the downside of Cinderella stories--eventually the slipper falls off. Brazil and Portugal would likely have generated more compelling semifinal matchups. Should be a good final though, even without a rooting interest.

Agreed ... why the NCAA tournament is so much fun for the first couple rounds but all it takes is a couple random teams getting into the Elite 8 and all of a sudden you're looking at 30 point blowouts!

VAR offside technology at 2022 World Cup, and how player data is changing professional sport

A good read on the technology (and it's origins) being used at this World Cup.

It makes the NBA look amateurish. "Oh the refs briefly watch a tiny monitor at the side of the court, how quaint. At least their trying" *pats the NBA on the head*

I think France takes it.....decades ago when France won it the whole team was basically French Premiere League Arsenal players. My original pick was Brazil.

France and Argentina are the only two teams to beat Australia at this World Cup. Given they’re both playing in the final, clearly that means Australia is third best in the world. Right? Right?

    2022 - France, Argentina

If you play Australia in the group or knockout stages, you’ve got a good chance of making and winning the final.

    Final score prediction?
    2-0?
    2-1?
    2-2?
    3-0?
    3-1?
    3-2?
    3-3?
    4-0?
    4-1?
    4-2?
    4-3?
    4-4?

I’m thinking we may see two more goals in this one, and IF that were to be the case then I think it’s likely one comes from France. Could see Argentina scoring again as well.

    3-1
