Front court in what way? I mean there are front court specialists. You won't get an all around front court player that will come off the bench. At least not one that is experienced enough to make a huge difference.

I really wished we picked up Jerm. I know he's injured now, but he's exactly the type of player we needed.

I think the dropoff from our starting backcourt to bench reserves is much greater than the dropoff from our starting frontcourt to reservers. I don't think its even close. Its just a matter of lowered expectations, you don't expect ANYTHING from Freeland/Trob/Meyers so if they do anything at all, its amazing. The expectations are raised for our veteran backcourt/wing reserves. A guy like Jermaine O'Neal would have been great. Experienced big man in the league.

And honestly, I have to agree with you. We have holes and those holes need to be filled. The position really doesn't matter, IMO.

I have always been an advocate of size. I would like another 6-10 or 6-11 guy coming off the bench.

I was advocating this all summer. He is that player that can defend, post up and rebound soundly for 10-15 minutes a game. Just enough time for Aldridge to get rest and you could use various rotations of Leonard, T. Rob and Freeland for Lopez (18 minutes to share)

What I'm saying to you is that if you don't know what the hell somebody is saying, don't be an ass and try to ridicule them for something they haven't said. In fact, how about not being an ass and ridiculing anyone at all? Make it a New Years resolution. You'd be amazed at how easy it can be.

I apologize if I seemed like an ass. However, I disagree. I think our drop off is bigger in the front court.

I thought size doesn't matter. It's the motion of the ocean, or something like that!

Seriously though, I'm with you. I think a team can never have enough big men. It would be nice to have that 260-280 6'11" guy coming off the bench.

That would be my guy as well. Not saying I came up with it, but if that opportunity was available, we would be stupid not to do it.

crap I had that reversed. It should be our dropoff from Lillard/Wes/Batum to Mo/Wright/??? is not as bad as from Rolo/Aldridge to Leonard/Freeland

humm by the trade deadline, there are going to be so many teams tanking that we should be able to go on an extensive shopping spree on the cheap. I think we will have to go BPA.

We already have people that size coming off the bench. The question is what you would want from said bench big that is different than what we get now? I've already stayed that (IMO) expecting a double-team commanding post presence would be unreasonable. So, what would you want the bench big to provide that would be reasonable?

We don't need another double-team commanding presence. We need someone to block shots and rebound.

Spot on! We need a PG that would rather dish than diddle.

Right now Mo is averaging 23.4 minutes a game, The Blazers red hot & rolling! I just can't see the Blazers going out to get a true backup PG that would take minutes away from Mo. Stotts has a system and it's working. I would also bet that is why CJ wont be apart of the rotation.
