This is either of these teams to "lose." Whichever team plays closer to the game plan will succeed. The teams are evenly matched except for benches and even that isn't much of an advantage. Blazers in six.

Every team was not us - we last won a clinching game to advance in the playoffs on May 2, 2000. Good timing.

I can take the Blazers being the team that didn't draft Michael Jordan or Kevin Durant. But I don't want to be that team .....

    Me: Go Blazers!
Lakers Fan: You're team hasn't won a playoff since 2000. You guys suck!
    Me: (......)

Being a Jets fans is bad enough, but not a team that can't make the first step.

Line started at 3.5 and was at 4 last I looked. For the other home games I think the line was only 3.

Nope. I just can't bring myself to call him by the initials of our most hated opponent.

Fuck SlyPokerDog and his casual posts pointing the troll finger. Nothing I said was trollish. We HAVE been down double figures each game.

I was listening to Clownzano at lunch and he was chastising the Moda Center fans for not being loud/energetic enough in games 3 and 4. Like when the Blazers were down double digits and all the calls and 50/50 balls were going Houston's way. What the fuck do they expect? Does he not know or care how snakebitten the average Blazer fan is? How the eyes involuntarily roll and you go "aww, shit, here we go again, I knew it was too fucking good to be true" when the team starts to slip back. But when they make their inevitable charge back, the crowd goes nuts, because they WANT to believe.

I expect the crowd tonight to be FUCKING INSANE at least for the first quarter. But if Houston gets a lead and it looks like the Blazers don't give a shit, you better believe it will be quiet as a library, and for good reason.

That's just how it works here. We get quiet, they notice, and more times than not, they give us a reason to cheer and believe again. If things start going badly, we'll inspire them.....to a point. When they don't show up, or it appears they couldn't care less, we WILL sit on our hands. Anger bursts through the silence, questioning their fortitude. They answer the call.

They will answer the call tonight.

Fuck Clownzano, he knows shit about the Blazers. When he sits with me and my 20,000+ friends at the Rose Garden, year after year, or with everyone else watching at home or the bar, and he goes through what we've gone through, and what the team has gone through, maybe he'll clue in.

Who calls him that? I've never heard it said. It's just shorthand writing for LaMarcus Aldridge.
