The bowl win, the domination, and the broadcasters raving about the Beavs has got to strengthen recruiting, regardless of the competition. The rankings can't hurt either.
The distance the program has come since Smith took the helm is incredible - and next season's schedule is very favorable - Utah, UCLA, and UW at home, no USC.....
It will be interesting to see where we wind up in the rankings. Next year’s goal will be the Rose Bowl.
We'll be in a unique position having to fill the role of Colletto. I don't think anyone in Div-1 is going to have a void like that from this year to the next. I also got the scent of roses. I may need to come back to earth before game one of next year, but I'm riding the high right now!
The Beavs recruiting class is looking strong. Mostly 3*'s, but Aidan Chiles is committed and should be a strong candidate for QB early in his career. The Ducks get more 4*'s than us, but we will beat them on the field anyway.
It's been interesting to watch the Beavers steady improvement over the last several years under Smith while the Ducks with a much stronger recruiting program seem to have plateaued. Certainly having several coaching changes hasn't helped the Ducks but still.
The Beavs got Grant Starck from the transfer portal! 6-5 292 lb offensive tackle that started all 12 games for Nevada this season. We are going to be VERY GOOD! Best O-line in the Pac-12! He has 3 years to play 2 seasons.
