ESPN has the Beavs at 17th for next season. https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/35391913/2023-way-too-early-college-football-top-25 17. Oregon State Beavers 2022 record: 10-3, 6-3 Pac-12 Expected returning starters: 8 offense, 6 defense, 1 special teams Expected key losses: G Brandon Kipper, WR Tre'Shaun Harrison, WR Tyjon Lindsey, LB Kyrei Fisher-Morris, S Jaydon Grant, CB Alex Austin, CB Rejzohn Wright, LB/FB Jack Colletto Expected key additions: QB DJ Uiagalelei, OL Grant Starck, DE Oluwaseyi Omotosho, DE Kelze Howard, QB Aidan Chiles, WR Montrel Hatten, DE Nikko Taylor Outlook: Jonathan Smith has quietly done remarkable work at his alma mater, guiding the Beavers to only their third 10-win campaign in school history this past season. The Beavers closed the season with four straight victories, including a 30-3 rout of Florida in the SRS Distribution Las Vegas Bowl. Oregon State ranked 11th in the Pac-12 in passing in 2022, and Smith hopes Uiagalelei, a former starter at Clemson, can once again find his confidence. Four starting offensive linemen are expected back; Starck, a 12-game starter at Nevada in 2022, might fill the lone hole. Omotosho had 6½ sacks and 46 tackles at Wyoming last season. The Beavers will have to replace three starters in the secondary. Oregon State's nonconference schedule in 2023 isn't overwhelming, and it will play Pac-12 opponents UCLA, Utah and Washington at home.
...what!? And not enter the draft that makes no sense. He said one motivating factor in returning to Beavs would be to break his Defensive Coordinators career tackles record. Lame!
Yeah, doesn't make a lot of sense to me either. It'll be interesting to see where the hell else he'd want to play.
I'm hearing an SEC team, possibly Bama, poached him. Sucks big time, but that's life with college football and NIL deals in the new era.
I'm curious about the thinking on Wayne Tinkle. Seems like he's living off of that one Pac-12/NCAA tournament run in 2020/21 his record at OSU is 123-148. That's worse than Craig Robinson, who was fired and Tinkle replaced. Worse than Jim Anderson who was also fired (replacing Ralph Miller was a no-win situation) Tinkle is 10-39 over the last 2 seasons. How long will the Beavers stay with this guy?

...if they lose enough games this season then he's gotta go ASAP! Preferably the sooner, the better. That's my thinking anyway
WTF, Gebbia is transferring to Ohio State?! wonder why J.Smith didn't give him more chances when Ben G. was having struggles?!
