This is a big thing for Obama. This is something tangible he can use in the next election. Where Bush failed, he succeeded. It's pretty smart really, but I don't see how he can actually make this claim without any tangible evidence. Nothing. Not a series of photos, not a video, and certainly not a body. It's all waaaay too convenient with him being down in the polls. It sounds like a script out of a movie. They found him hiding in a mansion, deep behind enemy lines, so they sent in a group of special forces to shoot him in the head. I'm pretty sure Chuck Norris, Sylvester Stallone, and Arnold were all part of this team. Possibly Bruce Willis as well.

I'm just curious if you guys would have accepted something similar from Bush. If he had said they had found the WMDs, but they were immediately destroyed and there was no photo or video evidence of the discovery, would you have believed it? The whole thing stinks to high heaven.

 

Comprehensive autopsy. See his health stratus and determine how he survived this long despite reports of kidney failure, etc. examine his brain, etc.

no need to observe muslim tradition. No biggie on that one. But no need to bury so quickly just to satisfy some muslim ritual. He doesn't deserve the satisfaction of this.

hmm, no, its called being around long enough to take off the blinders. In my youth, I witnessed the will of the people depose a president. I knew that the people could do anything, end a war being fought poorly etc. after many decades, watching the way things have changed I no longer believe that the government is here to help us. This is only the biggest criminal in the history of the United States. If they couldn't produce a body publicly, there damn sure should have been a shitload of photos and video. You can't make a claim like this and not have anything tangible for everyone to see.

I have long suspected that he died eight or nine years ago of his illnesses. At the time they were saying that he was severely ill and that they had discovered dialysis machines in a cave that he had inhabited. I always figured he probably succumbed to his medical problems, but we didn't say anything because it was better for the 'war on terror' if he was still alive. It's much easier to justify fighting the war if the "bogey man" is still out there. It also would have made him into a martyr, and that's not a good thing either. Of course, I guess we'll find out what the repercussions will be.

I didn't like Bush, I didn't vote for Bush, but I get lumped in with "the right" and the Republicans because I don't like Obama or trust the government? They got photo and video documentation. Confirmation was made via photo analysis and asking a resident of it were bin laden. They took a dna sample but can't feasibly get confirmation before they dumped the body.
