Just want to thank @Jade Falcon for this thread. Got some real comic relief here!

Pels fan b/f the game started: "Has Lillard's wife gone into labor yet?"

No, sorry, I've been sick and trying to catch up on sleep. Completely missed the Memphis game and fell asleep last night after the Clippers game.

And that's probably my excuse for not keeping it updated with the Pelicans game too, lol.

Glad I could be of service. :chestbump: Sure beats the lack of appreciation I get from GlockTalk. 14 years I've been a member of that forum, and just this morning some asshole decided to get into a personal attack argument out of the blue with me over a comment of mine that he didn't agree with, which had nothing to do with an insult of any kind, or even him. The topic was a police officer who got hired while being deaf. I gave my personal opinions about it as someone who is hearing impaired. He felt the need to personally attack me over that.

That forum has really gone down the shitter since Eric sold it to Carbon Media.

Since dviss is a referee, he must be blind. Therefore you and he must be like clones, and should converse on the OT board on some issue or another.

This forum is really one of the most relaxed, chill, open forums out there. That's what I've realized lately when looking at other forums.

It's the hippie personality of Ecotopia utopia, the Pacific Northwest. When I moved here from the fistfighters of Southern California in 1974, the polite regional culture blew me away the first day. It's that obvious.

    ......it is?

I stopped going to the OT because it was a constant shit fest. You can't even say the words "Trump" or "Gun" without starting an argument with someone.

If I'm going to argue about those kinds of things....politics or firearms, then I'd rather do it on GT. At least they argue the two subjects without using emotion, even if some of them are conspiracy nutjobs. I can deal with conspiracy. But I can't beat someone's argument which is based on emotion instead of logic or reason.

So I decided to prioritize my time here: basketball, not politics or social issues. Which pretty much rules out the OT.

Check out the Random Shit thread or Music you've listened to....some great stuff....HCP is a great photographer...in his case, a picture is worth a thousand words is truth as long as it's not a selfie!

I do enjoy the music threads. And I do have some pictures I took in Washington DC in 2005 that I'm sure I could share with HCP sometime.

    Thanks for that.

My father is really big on photography. He's taken thousands of pictures since he started the hobby just 6 years ago or so. But myself, I haven't taken any pictures probably since 2006. The camera I used is way outdated, and it doesn't work anymore.

I took this at the TOTU back in 2005, and it's one of my most favorite photographs. I liked it so much I made it my screen saver.

    DSCF0084.JPG

Simple, yet elegant, with the flowers in the background and the sign that reads "Silence and Respect". Which titles this picture perfectly. I love the way the walking pad leads into the photo (something which I learned to value when I took a photography course in college). It draws your eyes and "points" it in the right direction.

Of his selfies, are there a thousand words to describe them? The book that contained them would have been burned centuries ago.

When it comes down to wanting to argue about a topic, you're completely right. BUT.....when you get to the CORE of many debates and arguments, I've often found that some people rely too much on emotion and not enough on rational reasoning and facts. Gun Control topics are a good example of this.

I don't wanna derail this thread any further, so I'll just leave it at that. Let's move on.

Looking forward to our win tonight! I'll definitely be posting links to Memphis forums after tonight's game. I assume many fans in Memphis aren't going to delude themselves into thinking that they'll win tonight with Dame being back. I would also like to see Nurk guard Gasol at the 3. He's surprisingly pretty good at guarding the 3 point line. Wish he would do it more often.

I know one Australian guy that likes the Grizzlies on a Discord server, other than that the only other Grizzlie fan I can think of is that guy that used to post on here.

I was pretty shocked. There is NOTHING out there. LA has about 30 forums, but Memphis can barely get one going.

Obviously internet communities aren't the end all be all of a fanbase size, but it seems like moving that team out of Vancouver was a mistake.

There's talk about moving them to Seattle, I think.

    The Seattle Grizzlies.

Meh.....they'd be a Seattle team, and I pathologically hate everything about Seattle.
