York scores 17, No. 17 Arizona beats No. 23 USC 86-80

Arizona finds itself in a familiar spot -- at the top of the Pac-12 standings.

Gabe York scored 17 points and the No. 17 Wildcats moved into a share of the conference lead with an 86-78 victory over No. 23 Southern California on Sunday.

No. 12 Arizona routs rival Arizona State 99-61

Arizona plays Arizona State twice in a 35-game schedule, so the rivalry does not have quite the intensity as it does in football. The Wildcats also are the type of team that puts the same emphasis on every game they play, particularly in the deep Pac-12.

But to crush the Sun Devils at home like they did, it sure does feel sweet.

Allonzo Trier scored 20 points, Ryan Anderson added 15 and No. 12 Arizona manhandled Arizona State 99-61 Wednesday night in its second-most lopsided victory in the series.

Dorsey leads No. 16 Oregon past Oregon State, 91-81

When Tyler Dorsey showed up early for Oregon's shootaround before its rivalry rematch with Oregon State, his teammates could tell the freshman guard meant business.

"He came in 1 hour before practice and started shooting," senior Chris Bouchersaid, "so we knew he was ready.

"He attacked more and made plays for others, and when he does that it really helps the team."

Dorsey matched his season high with 25 points, and No. 16 Oregon regained a share of the Pac-12 lead with a 91-81 victory over Oregon State on Saturday night.

Cook leads No. 13 Oregon past Washington State, 76-62

About the only thing Elgin Cook couldn't play well Wednesday night was coy.

Asked if he knew about No. 9 Arizona's loss at Colorado earlier in the evening that helped give No. 13 Oregon sole possession of first place in the Pac-12, the senior forward pretended to be clueless.

"No, what went on? What happened?" Cook said as a big smile, as if the PA announcement during a timeout in his own game had fallen upon deaf ears. "Yeah, I heard about it. I'm happy with it."

The Ducks took care of their own business, with Cook scoring 16 of his 24 points in the second half to lead them to a 76-62 victory over Washington State.

Colorado ends skid vs. ninth-ranked Arizona

Josh Scott scored enough down the stretch to help Colorado weather his two mistakes in the final seconds.

Scott scored a season-high 26 points, including 12 in the last 10 minutes, and the Buffaloes overcame his two late turnovers to beat No. 9 Arizona 75-72 on Wednesday night.

No. 22 Utah builds 30-2 lead in 81-46 rout of Arizona State

Arizona State came out in a compact zone, seeking to stop Utah big man Jakob Poeltl. The Sun Devils dared the Utes to beat them with perimeter shots.

That's exactly what happened, right from the start.

The 22nd-ranked Utes made their first five field goal attempts, all 3-pointers, and opened a 30-2 lead on the way to an 81-46 blowout Thursday night.

Taylor leads No. 22 Utah over No. 9 Arizona 70-64

Brandon Taylor was down and out. Utah's point guard had lost his confidence midway through the Pac-12 season.

Taylor, a senior who been a key player in Utah's resurgence over the past few years, feels like himself again and his timing couldn't be better.

Taylor scored 19 points, including an ankle-breaking move to free himself for a game-clinching 3-pointer with 41 seconds to play, and No. 22 Utah edged No. 9 Arizona 70-64 on Saturday to move into a first-place tie with Oregon in the Pac-12.

Cook scores 26 as No. 13 Oregon tops Washington, 86-73

The last time the 13th-ranked Oregon Ducks ran the table on their own floor, they went on to win their only conference title and reached the Elite Eight of the 2002 NCAA Tournament.

Sunday night they took that first step again as Elgin Cook matched his career-high with 26 points to lead Oregon to an 86-73 victory over Washington.

No. 9 Oregon beats UCLA 76-68 to earn share of Pac-12 title

Oregon earned at least a share of the Pac-12 title for the first time since 2002, and once again, the ninth-ranked Ducks did it on the road.

Back then, they earned the crown by sweeping the Los Angeles schools to end the regular season. They're halfway there now.

Tyler Dorsey scored 13 of his 20 points in the first half and Oregon rallied in the second half to beat UCLA 76-68 on Wednesday night.

York's big finish gives No. 18 Arizona comeback win over Cal

Gabe York has been in a lot of big games for Arizona, and the senior guard ranks Thursday night's win over California his best.

York made two 3-pointers in the final minute, the last to give his team the lead with 19 seconds to play, and the 18th-ranked Wildcats scored the final 11 points of the game to beat the 25th-ranked Bears 64-61.

No. 9 Oregon beats USC 76-66 to clinch Pac-12 title

Cheers and applause echoed out of Oregon's locker room and coach Dana Altman emerged in a soggy state, his white shirt and black pants stuck to him.

The party was on for the ninth-ranked Ducks after they beat Southern California 76-66 on Saturday to clinch the Pac-12 title outright, their first since 2002 and fifth in school history.

No. 13 Utah rallies for 57-55 win over Colorado

The inside of the Huntsman Center was near silent on Senior Night as No. 13 Utah was being throttled by Colorado in the second half Saturday night. The Utes couldn't buy a basket and the Buffaloes had ripped off a 16-0 run to take a 14-point lead.

Then Jordan Loveridge banked in a 3-pointer that he admitted was not intentional.

It woke up the crowd, and maybe the Utes themselves.

Jakob Poetl had 16 points and 13 rebounds and No. 13 Utah rallied for a 57-55 victory over Colorado in the regular-season finale.

York sinks 9 3s in McKale farewell, Wildcats rout Stanford

With one swish through the net after another, Gabe York said a magnificent goodbye to McKale Center.

York, a senior playing in his final home game, made nine 3-pointers to tie the school and McKale record and scored a career-high 32 points in No. 18 Arizona's 94-62 rout of Stanford on Saturday.

Wallace's 24 points lead No. 25 Cal over Arizona State 68-65

When a second straight defeat for No. 25 California seemed probable Saturday night, Tyrone Wallace looked to his coach for a play. Cuonzo Martin barked at him instead.

"You don't need a play. We've been doing this for a long time," Martin said. "It's about him making plays, putting pressure on the defense."

Wallace responded, matching a season high with 24 points and hitting two decisive free throws in the final minute to lead Cal to a 68-65 comeback victory over Arizona State that earned the Golden Bears a first-round bye in the Pac-12 tournament.

No. 8 Oregon holds off Washington 83-77 at Pac-12

The Oregon Ducks got caught up in Washington's in-your-face style, playing at a speed even they couldn't handle.

Once they slowed it down to their usual breakneck pace, the Ducks were able to wear the Huskies down.

Chris Boucher had 19 points and 11 rebounds, and No. 8 Oregon withstood Washington's early aggressiveness and a late flurry to hold off the Huskies 83-77 in the Pac-12 Tournament quarterfinals Thursday.

No. 12 Utah holds off USC 80-72 at Pac-12 Tournament

Kyle Kuzma had a meeting with Utah coach Larry Krystkowiak after the sophomore forward went through a four-game funk.

The gist of it: Play hard and get back to the basics.

He did and the Utes are headed to the Pac-12 semifinals.

Kuzma broke out of a scoring slump at just the right time, missing one shot while scoring 23 points to help lift No. 12 Utah to an 80-72 victory over Southern California on Thursday night in the Pac-12 quarterfinals.

No. 15 Arizona holds on to beat Colorado 82-78 at Pac-12

Arizona played a near-flawless first half, pouring in shots, shutting Colorado down, threatening to turn the Pac-12 Tournament quarterfinal into a blowout.

The momentum shifted dramatically in the second half as the Wildcats let up and the Buffaloes erased nearly all of a 22-point deficit.

The Wildcats held on to move on to the semifinals, but it was much harder than it needed to be.

Allonzo Trier scored 23 points, Ryan Anderson had 17 points and 11 rebounds, and No. 15 Arizona held off Colorado 82-78 on Thursday.

No. 25 Cal outlasts Oregon State 76-68 at Pac-12 tournament

Every time California tried to pull away from Oregon State, the Beavers clawed their way back.

After two tough games during the regular season, the Bears expected the pushback and were ready for it.

Ivan Rabb scored two big baskets late to finish with 21 points and grabbed 15 rebounds, helping No. 24 California outlast Oregon State 76-68 Thursday night in the Pac-12 quarterfinals.
