No. 20 Arizona sets records for offense in 77-13 rout of NAU

For a little more than a quarter of the game, No. 20 Arizona was having all sorts of trouble with Northern Arizona.

Then the Wildcats overwhelmed the Lumberjacks with an avalanche of school records.

Anu Solomon completed 25 of 35 passes for 285 yards and four touchdowns in a little more than a half of play, and Arizona set team marks for points and total yards in a 77-13 rout of the outmatched FCS school.

Perkins, Starks rally No. 10 UCLA past No. 19 BYU 24-23

With quarterback Josh Rosen finally looking like a freshman, running back Paul Perkins was there to put No. 10 UCLA on his back.

And when Perkins finally got tired late in the fourth quarter, Nate Starks was there to carry the Bruins into the end zone.

Starks ran for a 3-yard touchdown with 3:25 remaining, Perkins rushed for 219 yards and a score, and UCLA rallied to beat No. 19 BYU 24-23 on Saturday night.

Led by QB Josh Rosen, No. 9 UCLA pummels No. 16 Arizona on the road

The grumbling started when UCLA struggled to get past Brigham Young. It grew louder after star linebacker Myles Jackwent out for the season with a knee injury.

These Bruins sure found a way to shut everyone up.

Crisp on offense and opportunistic on defense, No. 9 UCLA staked its claim as the best team in the Pac-12 South Division by crushing No. 16 Arizona 56-30 on Saturday night

Cody Kessler passes for 375 yards, 5 TDs in Trojans' win

Cody Kessler and the rest of the USC Trojans are good at taking advantage of mistakes.

And Arizona State made plenty of them.

Kessler threw for 375 yards and five touchdowns and No. 19 Southern California capitalized on Arizona State's miscues to roll past the Sun Devils, 42-14 on Saturday night.

Travis Wilson throws for 4 TDs as No. 18 Utah steamrolls No. 13 Oregon

While Utah's players sang and danced in the locker room following their big victory over Oregon, coach Kyle Whittingham was already looking ahead to the next game.

Travis Wilson returned from a shoulder sprain and threw for 227 yards and four touchdowns in No. 18 Utah's 62-20 victory over the No. 13 Ducks on Saturday night in the Pac-12 opener for both teams.

Arizona State rebounds from ugly September with big Pac-12 South win

Kalen Ballage ran the ball into the teeth ofUCLA's defense in the final minute and refused to go down. One after another, his Arizona State teammates pushed and shoved him away from the Bruins and in for the clinching touchdown.

The Sun Devils knew they could only overcome their disappointing start to the season if they gave a boost to each other -- and in Ballage's case, they really meant it.

Mike Bercovici passed for 273 yards and two touchdowns and ran for another score, and Arizona State got its season back on track with a 38-23 victory over No. 7 UCLA on Saturday night.

Goff's 4 TD passes lead No. 24 Cal past Washington St. 34-28

Touchdown passes and big plays from Jared Goffare what's expected for California. It took another opportunistic day from the defense to keep the 24th-ranked Golden Bears undefeated.

Cal forced four turnovers, had seven sacks and made two big special teams plays to back a four-touchdown performance from Goff and secure a 34-28 victory over Washington State on Saturday in the Bears' first game as a ranked team in six years.

No. 4 Utah beats Arizona State 34-18 to remain undefeated

Fourth-ranked Utah is a legitimate contender for its first Pac-12 title and a berth in the College Football Playoffs when quarterback Travis Wilson plays well. The Utes become one-dimensional when he doesn't.

Utah fans were thrilled to see "Good Travis" on the field Saturday night when the Utes held off Arizona State 34-18 to remain the lone undefeated team in the conference.

Josh Rosen completes school-record 34 passes as UCLA downs No. 20 Cal

With UCLA's season seemingly teetering on the brink of collapse, Josh Rosen calmly propped it back up with a passing performance that put the freshman's name in the Bruins' record book.

Rosen completed a school-record 34 passes and threw two of his three touchdown passes to Devin Fuller, and UCLA got back on track with a 40-24 victory over No. 20 California on Thursday night.

Cameron Smith's 3 INTs lead embattled USC to win over No. 3 Utah

In less than two weeks, Southern California went from the depths of a coach's firing to the heights of a wild celebration after beating the No. 3 team in the nation.

Most of these Trojans have been on a roller coaster from the day they joined this storied but troubled program. This particular peak sent them soaring over mighty Utah.

Cameron Smith returned the second of his three interceptions 54 yards for a touchdown, and USC knocked the third-ranked Utes from the unbeaten ranks with a 42-24 victory Saturday night.

Ukropina FG lifts No. 8 Stanford over Washington State 30-28

Washington State kicker Erik Powell made his first five field goals Saturday night. The Cougars needed one more, though, and he didn't have it.

And so No. 8 Stanford's playoff hopes live on.

Powell missed wide right on a 43-yarder as time expired, allowing Stanford to escape with a 30-28 win on a day Powell tied Drew Dunning's 2003 school record with five makes despite rainy, windy conditions.

No. 24 UCLA blows big lead, rallies to beat Colorado

Colorado ran 114 plays and held the ball for more than 41 minutes while the latest wave of injuries washed over No. 24 UCLA's already battered defense.

The weary Bruins weathered everything the Buffaloes could manage, and hung on to stay in control of the Pac-12 South race.

Soso Jamabo rushed for the go-ahead touchdown with 8:28 to play, and UCLA blew an 18-point lead before escaping the Rose Bowl with a 35-31 victory Saturday.

No. 12 Utah leans on defense for 34-23 win over Washington

Utah finally forced some more turnovers to remain in control of the Pac-12 South Division race with three weeks left in the regular season.

Don't count out the Utes (No. 12 CFP, No. 13 AP) just yet from getting back into the College Football Playoff conversation.

Gionni Paul returned a fumble 54 yards for a touchdown, set up another score with an interception and Utah held off Washington 34-23 on Saturday night.

Josh Rosen helps No. 23 UCLA rout Oregon State 41-0

Josh Rosen said he's at his best when he's playing loose and having fun.

"Everyone is getting hyped up before the game and listening to some bumping rap music and stuff, and I'm in the corner of the locker room just chilling out and keeping my heart rate down," he said.

The laid-back freshman helped UCLA (No. 23 CFP, No. 22 AP) keep alive its Pac-12 title hopes Saturday, throwing two touchdown passes toThomas Duarte in a 41-0 victory over Oregon State 41-0 in cold, rainy conditions.

Oregon spoils No. 7 Stanford's playoff hopes with 38-36 win

Vernon Adams Jr. had Oregon's big-play offense clicking. Stanford was able to grind it out behind Kevin Hogan andChristian McCaffrey.

When it came down to it, two botched snaps and a failed 2-point conversion spoiled the Cardinal's playoff hopes and kept the Ducks alive in the Pac-12 race.

Adams threw for 205 yards and two touchdowns and Oregon used its quick-strike offense and the late 2-point stop to beat Stanford (No. 7 CFP, No. 7 AP) 38-36 victory Saturday night.
