No. 15 Stanford rebounds from loss to USC, shuts out Army

The defense might be as good any Stanford has had during its recent run of success.

The offense has dazzled, at times, but also struggled for prolonged stretches.

Heading into the bye week, the Cardinal know how dangerous they could be if both sides played at an equally high level.

Kevin Hogan threw for 216 yards and four touchdowns, and No. 15 Stanford rebounded from a frustrating loss to Southern California with a 35-0 win over Army on Saturday.

Taylor Kelly leaves with injured foot as No. 16 ASU beats Colorado

Taylor Kelly's productive night was cut short by injury, and it was uncertain when he'll be back on the field.

Kelly threw for three touchdowns and ran 50 yards for another score before leaving with a right foot injury, and No. 16 Arizona State withstood a late challenge from Colorado to beat the Buffaloes 38-24 on Saturday night.

Marcus Mariota's 5 TDs help No. 2 Oregon hold off Washington St.

Oregon coach Mark Helfrich had one word to describe Marcus Mariota's play against Washington State: "Ridiculous."

Mariota threw for 329 yards and five touchdowns to stay in contention for the Heisman Trophy and help Oregon hold off Washington State 38-31 Saturday night in a matchup of two of the top offenses in the nation.

Ishmael Adams' 2 long TD runbacks key UCLA rout of Arizona State

Noticing the letters "UCLA" carved into the giant pitchfork at midfield, Arizona State officials scrambled to cover up the blemish.

They did so quickly and posted a security guard to make sure no one else defiled the fork, even chasing away a UCLA player who dared step on the logo.

Once the game started, the Bruins were all over the logo -- and everywhere else in Sun Devil Stadium.

Ishmael Adams gave UCLA a boost with a 95-yard interception return for a touchdown just before halftime and followed with a 100-yard kickoff return for another score in the third quarter, sparking the 11th-ranked Bruins to a 62-27 rout against No. 15 Arizona State on Thursday night.

Cody Kessler, big plays propel No. 18 USC past Oregon State

When Su'a Cravens intercepted Sean Mannion's pass and returned it 31 yards untouched for the game's first score, he perked up everybody on the Southern California sideline.

The Trojans' two-week hangover from an embarrassing loss evaporated in a surge of big plays against Oregon State, keeping USC right on course in the Pac-12 race.

Cody Kessler passed for 261 yards and two touchdowns, and Justin Davis scored twice in No. 18 USC's 35-10 victory over Oregon State on Saturday night.

Late TD, botched Washington fake punt propel No. 16 Stanford

David Shaw provided a scathing assessment of Stanford's offense. Fortunately for the coach and the Cardinal, the public criticism came after a win.

Kevin Hogan ran for a 5-yard touchdown with 4:29 remaining, and No. 16 Stanford used its stingy defense and a poorly timed fake punt by Washington to post a 20-13 win on Saturday.

Arizona stuns No. 2 Oregon, upsets Ducks for 2nd straight season

The look on Marcus Mariota's face was unmistakable: He was stunned.

Oregon's star quarterback lingered on the field late Thursday night following his team's 31-24 loss to Arizona, shaking hands with the Wildcats after they upset the heavily favored Ducks for the second consecutive season.

Utah clips No. 8 UCLA with last-minute field goal

Utah coach Kyle Whittingham spent the day watching a wave of wild results sweep across the nation and engulf the Pac-12, not that he needed the reminder.

A week ago, the Utes squandered a 21-point lead to Washington State. The next time out, they rallied to upset a Top 10 opponent for the second consecutive season.

Andy Phillips kicked a 29-yard field goal with 34 seconds left for Utah, and UCLA's Ka'imi Fairbairn missed two field-goal attempts with no time on the clock as the Utes stunned the No. 8 Bruins 30-28 on Saturday night.

Arizona State rocks No. 16 USC on game-ending, 46-yard TD

Mike Bercovici collapsed on the Coliseum turf after he released his final throw for Arizona State, cramping up from dehydration.

Jaelen Strong wasn't sure he could get to it, but he sprinted and leaped -- and wasn't quite sure how he ended up with the ball in the end zone, his teammates mobbing him.

When Bercovici and Strong finally got up, the Sun Devils celebrated an improbable comeback capped by an unbelievable finish.

"You never know what this game can come down to," Strong said.

Strong caught a 46-yard touchdown pass from Bercovici as time expired, and Arizona State scored three TDs in the final 3:53 to shock No. 16 Southern California 38-34 on Saturday night.

No. 25 Stanford rebounds by slowing Connor Halliday, Washington State

The defense came as advertised for Stanford, and so did the offense.

Cardinal coach David Shaw is at the point where he finally accepts the good is going to come with the bad this season, and he just hopes his players can overcome the miscues when the competition gets tougher.

Kevin Hogan threw for 284 yards and three touchdowns, and No. 25 Stanford slowed down Connor Halliday and the Air Raid offense in a 34-17 victory over Washington State on Friday night.

USC survives late comeback attempt to knock off No. 10 Arizona

Southern California faced the prospect of a second straight stinging defeat, watching as another opponent moved into position for a gut-wrenching score.

No Hail Mary this time, just a wide right -- and a big sigh of relief for the Trojans.

Javorius Allen ran for 205 yards and three touchdowns, and USC escaped with a 28-26 victory over No. 10 Arizona on Saturday night when Casey Skowron pushed a last-second 36-yard field goal wide right.

Devontae Booker scores 3 TDs as Utah outlasts Oregon State in 2 OT

Utah running back Devontae Booker said he hadn't had "video-game stats" like this since high school.

Booker ran for 229 yards and three touchdowns, including a 19-yard dash in the second overtime that gave No. 20 Utah a 29-23 victory over Oregon State on Thursday night.

No. 9 Oregon extends winning streak over Washington to 11 straight

While Oregon's coaches believe something has clicked for Royce Freeman in the past two games, the Ducks' true freshman running back considers his recent success more a natural progression.

Freeman ran for 169 yards and four touchdowns on Saturday night as No. 9 Oregon extended its winning streak over Washington to 11 games with a 45-20 victory.

Arizona State rolls past Stanford, 26-10

Arizona State coach Todd Graham has pointed to Stanford as a model of what the Sun Devils should aspire to as a program: The character, the discipline, the efficiency and, certainly, the winning.

But each time the teams met on the field, Arizona State fell flat, overrun by the powerful Cardinal.

That's what made this one so sweet. Not only did the Sun Devils finally beat Stanford, they won in Stanford-like fashion.

Dominating on both sides of the ball, the 17th-ranked Sun Devils cleared a big hurdle by racing past No. 23 Stanford 26-10 Saturday night.

Cody Kessler (school-record 7 TDs), No. 22 USC overwhelm Colorado

Cody Kessler spent two seasons watching Matt Barkley claim nearly every passing record at Southern California and in the Pac-12, soaking up every bit of information he could and hoping he would get the chance one day to chase them down.

Kessler did that Saturday, throwing seven touchdown passes in the No. 22 Trojans' 56-28 victory over Colorado to break the school game record Barkley set against the Buffaloes in 2011.

No. 14 Arizona State knocks off Washington 24-10

Taylor Kelly threw two touchdown passes after missing more than a month with a foot injury, the second a 7-yarder to Gary Chambers with 3 minutes left in No. 14 Arizona State's 24-10 victory over Washington on a blustery Saturday night.

The Wildcats, plagued recently by slow starts, scored 24 straight points in the first quarter and beat Washington State 59-37 on Saturday.

Travis Wilson's TD pass with 8 seconds left helps No. 19 Utah edge USC

Travis Wilson gave Utah its biggest victory since joining the Pac-12 four years ago -- and earned a little job security, too.

Wilson threw a 1-yard touchdown pass to Kaelin Clay with 8 seconds left to give No. 19 Utah a 24-21 victory over No. 20 Southern California on Saturday night.

Brett Hundley, No. 25 UCLA hold off Colorado in double OT

The winning play wasn't actually designed for Brett Hundley to run with the ball.

Try telling him that in the huddle, though.

The junior quarterback saw something he liked -- a defensive lineman crashing the play -- faked the handoff and scored untouched on an 8-yard keeper in double overtime to give No. 25 UCLA a 40-37 victory over Colorado on Saturday.

    Utes lose WR Dres Anderson

Utah will be without receiver Dres Anderson for the rest of the season as the senior has an undisclosed knee injury, the school announced Wednesday morning.

Anderson, a team captain, was injured in the fourth quarter of last week's 24-21 win over USC, according to a team official. He finished the game, catching three balls for 30 yards.

He leads the Utes (No. 17 CFP, No. 18 AP) with 355 receiving yards and four touchdowns and is second on the team with 22 receptions.
