Remember, some people in here think we won't win 20 games, so to suggest that Rudy Gay could be worth 30 wins (which is how much he would have to add in order for us to be a playoff team if those people's expectations are valid) is absolutely crazy.

How many fresh starts does he need? Wasn't he with like 80 teams already?

I know. Its now a slow off season, especially if you don't care for the pigskin. With that said, the answer to the perfect guys is this....no one.
IF you go by whats on paper and look at what is most glaringly needed, yes its the 3, but I don't think Rudy is the answer.
How do we know who would be perfect until we truly know who is the weakest link? What if Vonleh can actually give 10-15 minutes at the 3 spot?
To me, that would then make our glaring weakness still back up PG and possibly PF.
IF you want to look at this roster as it stands, the only perfect guys in the league are pure fantasy.
    Otherwise the answer is Durant.
If Durant was on this team and Vonleh turns out to be solid, possibly all star, then we would have it. Dame would work so much better wih KD than ballhog ever did.
a team of an improved and consistent Meyers, CJ, Vonleh, Amino and Davis coupled with Dame and Durant? That's pretty solid. Maybe missing a big like Mozgov and thats about it.

The perfect players coupled with this roster to make this team a championship contender and might actually have some percentage (however minuscule) of happening?
    Durant and Mozgov.

Crap. I forgot all about Plumlee. If Plumlee also improves and becomes a solid starting center, then we don't need Mozgov. Ad Durant to this team and we are contenders..... IF all of the above said players do improve as we all hope they will.

Rudy Gay is a nice all around player, he fills up the stat sheet. Problem is he's always been asked to be the franchise #1 guy and he's not. Same thing could happen to Batum now.

I think only a couple of people picked fewer than 20. Which is crazy. Also last year the 8th spot only won 45. (with the other 7 winning 50+) I expect the same this year.

No shit. The only reason I replied in the first place was because I was bored out of my mind. I really could care less if we got RG or not.......

Here's food for thought. If the Knicks were willing to trade us Melo at the deadline for a couple 1sts and Kaman (to help them open up cap space), would you do it?

No I wouldn't. The difference (from RG) is the salary difference and the two first round draft picks. I am only in favor of RG because of the proposed compensation by the OP for him. (Basically nothing)

Plus I have never heard Rudy Gay bitch and moan about things like Melo has. He is also healthier and two years younger.

Yeah but Melo is better. I'm just wondering if people would actually want Melo. A small lineup with him at the 4 and Meyers at the 5 would be fun.

I don't think our starting center (Plumlee) would need to be included. Sacramento has already has Cousins and Calley-Stein. I doubt they would even want Kaman.

Was my post really that had to understand? I was agreeing with you two!

    You said....
"So any other players we can discuss? Lol"
and BJones replied "I wish.. its the dog days of late August"

And I agreed by saying "No shit" (Meaning no kidding I wish there was someone else to talk about.....and that I only was debating for RG because I was bored)

Now I'll say things nobody agrees with so I don't get "No shitted" for no reason again.

We shoulda traded Dame and maybe Queen Marsha woulda stayed!

I think the Blazers would have to add Kaman. What would be your proposed trade??
